Juice pod Downingtown

I frequent this shop a couple times a year. They have good bowls and fresh pressed juice. Lots of options too, which I love. That is about where the joy ends. I usually drive to the juice pod in Malvern because of how bad the service is in downingtown.

The downsides to this store are the slow service, lack of efficiency and professionalism, and an overall cramped feel due to the location of the store.

I am a Dasher and I had to pick up a DoorDash order from this store a few weeks ago or so. I arrived at 7:45-7:50am, as the app instructed me. (Why is it even offering it to me 30 minutes early??) The door was locked to the mini mall, and there were was no answer over the phone as well. Yet they were somehow able to accept the orders over DoorDash?? So confusing.

I banged on the double sided glass window until 8:01am, when it said on the website they opened. At 8:02 I reported the store closed, since they did not answer the phone, the door, or have any communication with me since I arrived. I had been there over 10 minutes.

Well the next day I received a contract violation due to this! They said I reported a store closed erroneously :/ apparently they had an order picked “picked up shortly after”, and now my account has a blemish on it. I tried requesting a reconsideration, and was denied. Pretty frustrating when the store is the one at fault, and I take the blame. I also got little to no compensation for that trip to the store, which is frustrating.

So yeah, this store is okay when there as a customer, but not as a worker. I would be much cooler with more organization so it’s easier for delivery drivers to interface with staff. This whole situation of reporting the store closed could have been avoided if DoorDash gave realistic timeframes for order prep, and order pickup, and if Juice Pod had reported an accurate opening time and answered the phone. Finally, it makes me feel frustrated that the customer went through this experience just trying to get breakfast! They probably were upset, and I don’t blame them. This experience was ridiculous.

Smoothies were great as usual, but every time I come to this location, I wait 20+ minutes for one or two smoothies. They had 20 people in the store, not because of a rush or anything, but just because of the extremely long wait times. This seems to be the only location where I always end up waiting for a long time.

Food is always great! I had what I would call an annoying experience this morning. I ordered an açai bowl and a smoothie came to almost $30. I asked for another plastic bowl so I could split the açai bowl with my son. I was told it was gonna be an extra charge “ Because it like costs money”. It wouldn’t have bothered me that much had the employee not been snarky. BUT It’s mind-boggling to me that the prices are so high and they can’t even spare a plastic bowl.

Delivery driver here was advised they were working on my order however 10 minutes later they say I had the wrong location as they don't make that at the downingtown location. This may be true but this is something that could of been said when I arrived since they weren't actually making something they can't at this location. Check the order please before telling someone you're working on it.

Everyone should go to Juice Pod, a smoothie and acai bowl place that is heaven on earth.

They have a large variety of smoothies and bowls with many different customizations. They have a huge wall of their menu and so many options. Each smoothie has a completely different taste. Their bowls are also very delicious with many different types of fruits to put on top. They have the best-tasting smoothies like Avalon Green, Green Glo, Mango Madness, Bryn Berry, Rockstar, and Almond Joy. They also have the best-tasting bowls like 7 Mile Island, Nutter Butter, Wildcat, and Amazing Green. Juice Pod has the best smoothies and bowls on the planet.

Also, the workers there are so nice. They are the fastest, kindest, and most amazing people in the world. If you think you will be waiting in line, well, you are wrong. You will be in and out of there so fast. Also, the cashiers are very patient and let you take all the time you need to pick what you want.

The interior of Juice Pod is also a very calming and relaxing place. It gives off a very modern and green lifestyle. Juice Pod encourages me to eat healthy by giving me tasty but healthy options to eat. After eating Juice Pod I feel very energized and refreshed

Juice Pod is definitely a 10/10 and I will be going back there again and again.

Food is okay. What you’d expect for a Juice Pod Location. The service is just awful that it makes this location unserviceable. Online order for pickup was supposed to be ready according to their own system in 10-20 minutes. 45 minutes later food is still not ready. The store is run my high schoolers and they are trying their best but the store is not set up to actual make food, juice or bowls. They need to hire more people, return the staff and improve their online order time estimator.
The restaurant itself is rather dated and just appears to be poorly built and put together. I tried sitting at 3 different tables and all of them had major problems such as the high top and the base support leg not being securely attached or the leg has to the support stand being loose. It felt like these tables were able to fall over. If you put any weight on the table it felt like it could cause the table to fall over.
The store is in great need of a better general manager. Overall big failure from a restaurant experience and online order experience.
Will not be back to this location again and I encourage anyone to try the Lionville location if they want Juice Pod.

Took 30 minutes for an acai bowl

Overpriced but still good. Healthier choice of food and always fresh. Takes a bit for your order to come out but the area is nice. Bathroom isn't always clean or has toilet paper.

Ordered online and waited an additional 15 minutes past pickup time, but it was worth it. I love their chia pudding!
