A wonderful welcoming place with amazing staff, great wines and delicious food from Sweet Amelia’s. Love the changing seasonal menu and the rotating selection of wines.

This was my first visit to R Five Wines in D’town. My husband and I went out with some dear friends. They had been there before and said it was great, and R Five did not disappoint… simple decore…yet comfortable & welcoming! . Inside the staff was SUPERB!!!! So very attentive and wonderful. We were able to enjoy lovely Morgan who took extra good care of us, and made excellent recommendations for wine. Our friends were not sure which they wanted so she allowed them to taste two before they made their decision. We ordered three different pizzas and each was absolutely delicious… our surprise…The peach selection was a favorite. We also had the white pizza and the sausage pizza …all Excellent & each pizza was brought out individually when it was finished in the oven. My husband and I had cocktails… and at R Five their cocktails are pre-batched, so you cannot make any adjustments. We each had the Mint julep. My hubby LOVED it. I thought it a tad strong so I tried it with Ginger ale…. still was too strong for me…so I opted for the Sangria, which was a perfect choice for me. I Would definitely recommend R Five Wines. It was a very lovely evening, and we actually closed up the place as we sat at our table and laughed and talked for a few hours…and not once did anyone rush us or let us know they were closing …class act restaurant!!!

Absolutely phenomenal. Oysters were out of this world. Wines were all California and fantastic. And the pizza had great flavor and crust to die for.

We attended an event at R5 last night. The staff and atmosphere are great and the artisan Pizza's are amazing. Wines are delicious but on the dry side. The wine education was fantastic. We will definitely return!

Cute decor, chill playlist. Haven't tried all their wines, I really like their Viognier. The menu is simple but fresh and delicious. The squash ginger soup with chive oil was genuinely one of the best soups I've had. The crispy thin crust pizza is SO good. Especially the burratta cream one was amazing. The pizzas change seasonally though.

Love this place! It is always a go to spot when you want a unique experience and a place to talk. Great wine and boards. So glad we have a place like this in Downingtown

Love this place! Big fan of going here before Pomodoros and having a charcuterie board and bottle of wine to go

My wife and I decided to stop here for lunch today. Let me tell you how this was the best lunch. I've had it a very long time. Everything was made fresh. It was nice reasonable pricing. The staff was very helpful, with any questions on the wine and spirits. The food was amazing. I think the best part was actually the dessert. We did ask them if they changed the menu up, and they do put out a new one every 1st of the month. I would definitely go back.

Omg - this place is wonderful. The food was wonderful and the wine was to die for. Can't wait for warmer weather and we can sip our glasses in open air. Highly recommend!

Lovely space, the staff was so nice to us and friendly about answering questions, bag hooks at the bar (so important!), pretty good wine (subjective so can't really leave a review about this part), great menu descriptions for the different wines including a little about how they are made. Two of us got a flight and one of us just got a non-alcoholic drink, no food. The bathrooms are what I think of as European-style with fully closed stalls which I like. The bathrooms are also non-gendered which I also like, but threw my dad a bit. So clean! Would go back!

Let me just start out by saying our experience at our five wines was impeccable. Grace dazzled our table with luxurious wines Her customer service skills was just so quality. It’s hard to find out these days visiting the East Coast being south west people in all… I would even compare it to Southern hospitality!Grace brought my wife to tears helping her read the menu because she’s a diagnosed dyslexic and needed the extra step! What a matronly gal would come here again! And definitely Highly recommend! ❤️

We have always visited this quaint winery and supported its business, however, after recommending it to my nephew and his wife - I have advice for the owners. It's likely you will get patrons who come in for your food, desserts, ambience and not for your wine. You will get patrons who enjoy your business who do not drink - for whatever reason and this should be respected. My nephew brought his wife here the other night for a date night and told the staff they didn't drink, but wanted menus. They were then asked 3x "...okay, so just the food? Really? Um okay" in addition to weird under the breath chuckles and stares. From three different individuals, I might add - apparently the worst response came from two men (one older who laughed at them and one younger who just awkwardly stared). YES - just the food. They wanted 30 minutes away from their kids to enjoy being together. I realize alcohol is the focal of your business and the check, but shouldn't every individual be welcome if they're spending money? Making a recommendation is an endorsement, which I won't make again. Less judgment and more warmth would mean a lot for ALL your customers.

Recently visited after driving by for months.. It was a slow day, but it was a great first experience as we were able to learn about the company and their thoughts behind their menu. It's a short menu consisting of, let's say artisan pizza and then some cheese options. It's a great pairing, and both our pizzas were delicious. They also have events in house which we plan on sampling (get it, wine tasting ?). Lastly, the service was great with no hesitation on our many questions.. So if you're local or visiting and enjoy wine, it's a great stop along the way...
