Food has been outstanding for many years. Creative, eclectic and routinely delicious. Hours of operation took a real hit from COVID and it has been a gradual bounce-back. Bartenders are beloved in community. It’s a Downingtown staple. And as the name says, it’s right across the street from the Amtrak/SEPTA station. If you grab a table next to the window looking out on Lancaster Ave., you can see your train roll up and walk 100 feet to hop on.

We went to Station Taproom on a Saturday night. It was busy, but we were seated right away. Our server was attentive and pleasant the whole time. We started with a white sangria and a beer—both were great, but the sangria was especially delicious.

For apps, we had the wings and the BBQ wontons. The wings were *incredible*—crispy with a dry rub and white Alabama sauce. Honestly, some of the best wings I’ve ever had. And the blue cheese? So good. I have a soft spot for places that nail their blue cheese, and this one was top-tier. The BBQ wontons were crispy and perfectly balanced with the right amount of toppings.

For mains, my wife got the smash burger, and wow—it was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever tasted. I went with the brisket kimchi panini, and it did not disappoint. The brisket was juicy, smoky, and packed with flavor, and the kimchi added just the right kick. The house-made 1000 island sauce tied it all together.

After dinner, we headed next door to the Bottle Room for more drinks. Really cool vibe, awesome beer selection to go, and a solid variety on tap. Side note, I like that both of these places have a TV but it's no way the focal point being seated at the bar. It just leads to better experience.

We’ll definitely be back. Great food, drinks, and atmosphere. I hope they’re around for a long time.

Best burger (the smash burger) in at least a 50-mile radius. This place is as consistently great as it gets, with fantastic staff and superb cocktails. The only downside is it can be difficult to get a table, but that is totally expected with such a quality joint. Worth the wait any day of the week!

Seriously one of the best brunch menus in the area. Shrimp and Grits deserves the accolades, and the scrapple Bennie with fried/poached egg was ingenious. Incredible cold-brew espresso martini! Service by Tim was stellar. Cannot wait to go again.

My cousins loved the drinks so much they tried to replicate at home. They said the burger was best they ever had! Nice staff!

was in town as visiting football parents doing dinner/drinks before the game. i think we caught them off guard with our numbers and the placed filled with us and their regulars. staff stayed very pleasant, and food came out quickly considering how busy we made it. to their regulars who came in to find the place already filled, sorry. you have a great local tavern there!

Station Taproom is absolutely miraculous. They did an extravagant job when me and my friends came to celebrate a very very special event. They had very nice staff and it was such a good environment to enjoy a meal at. I got to meet the owners!! 😃 Very sweet people.

What a great find! I’m a lover of dinners for breakfast, but the one down the road from here has gone way down hill. So we went looking for someplace close and good. Prior to this morning I had no idea they did brunch, when we drove by we saw people in the window so off to google I went. A Quick Look at the ‘menu’ google has online and off we went! The menu google shows isn’t what they had, but it didn’t matter. I spent 30+ years of my life running restaurants and specifically kitchens. I can comfortable say this was hands down the best breakfast / brunch I’ve had that I can remember. 90% of the time I don’t touch home fries, as they are almost never cooked right. I took what I couldn’t finish home…! The Scrapple Eggs Benedict were amazing. A perfectly poached and then deep fried egg, rich and runny yolks with an added crunch! I can’t wait for next weekend when I can have them again. We sat at a high top near the bar, so the bar tender was our server. No legitimate complaints about service, except with a busy bar it was a little slow and sporadic. That’s not really a complaint, anyone that’s ever eaten at a pub such as this knows when the bar is busy, the bartender can’t get to you as fast. It would have been great if the other servers at least ran our food after looking at it in the window for a couple min. That said if the only seats available next time we make it are the high tops, we’ll sit there without hesitation! I spent a total of $9.00 more than at the dinner down the street, we ordered more food, and have leftovers. Absolutely worth every penny!!!
