One of the more enjoyable spaces in Downingtown. The coffee can be a hit or miss, depends on who makes the drink. The pastries are very good. The atmosphere is comfortable, but it can be boisterous, so headphones are definitely needed. The staff are generally very kind and pleasant. I love that it has quality air conditioning and ample seating for doing computer work and/or enjoying time with others.

As with most, I want to love this place: their coffee is great and the food items are very solid. But the service and cleanliness are just the worst. They are ALWAYS understaffed, and the staff is never very pleasant nor knowledgeable (except for the requisite manager on duty). I hope they change, because it could be great, ut not at the moment. Unfortunately I’ll take the consistency of Starbucks :/
Coffee and pastries were delicious. (I had the lavender latte w almond milk & blueberry scone 😋). Service was great. We sat outside and enjoyed our food and the beautiful day!
Excellent service
Nice atmosphere. I couldn't get to the parking due to the driveway being blocked by an unmoving drive thru line on the left and parking spots on the right. Once inside there was a long wait for my order. There was plenty of seating, which was nice. My latte was good, but they didn't have coconut milk for it and it wasn't very hot when it was served. My pastry was delicious, but my friend's muffin was dry and not as tasty.
I really want to like this place. Truly. Five stars for not being Starbucks (which, if you know, you know) and for having a drive-through. But that is about where the good ends.
The quality and service just are not there. The drive-through takes forever every single time. I have no idea why they cannot hire an extra person to help during rushes. It should not be this slow.
The croissant I ordered was stale, and the iced Nutella latte—while the flavor had potential—was prepared horribly. No ice, overly sweet, and basically undrinkable. Customer service? Meh. No real energy or friendliness, which only adds to the frustration.
Like I said, I want to like this place. I am rooting for them. They just really need to step it up. Still better than Starbucks, but honestly, that is a low bar.
I will be back eventually (especially as a busy mom who relies on caffeine and the occasional drive-through), but I need a little time to regroup first.
The coffee ☕️ is so good I like it
It’s my first time visit to cafe

I am a first time customer at the Farmhouse Coffee and Espresso Bar, I was surprised about the size of the interior because it looked small from the outside. I went inside and I was amazingly surprised about the very courteous, professional and friendly service. The manager greeted you at the register, apologized for the delay in service and pointed out a kiosk if you wanted to order another way. The displayed of the food looked fresh and like it was just made. I ordered a variety of pastries, and a hot chocolate. The food was fantastic, fresh, and very tasty. My hat off to the manager, service, and care they provide their customers. I will not be a first time customer and I intend to solicit the Farmhouse Coffee and Espresso Bar when I am in the area. You can tell the pastries and other amenities do not look or taste like they were premade or shipped to the place.

My wife died last week and rather than spend mornings alone in my home I've been going out to coffee shops to get away for a while, enjoy quality coffee and breakfast, and just chill in a nice atmosphere. Today I went to Farmhouse even though I've been disappointed numerous times. I arrived at 7 AM for a hot cup of coffee and a scone. The outside temperature was 38 degrees. Inside wasn't much warmer, but it was early and I understand the heat needs some time to warm the place. But all of the overhead fans were running on high and blowing very cold air on the patrons. I asked the barista if she could turn the fans down to low. She said she would ask the owner. I waited 15 minutes then left with the fans still blasting me with cold air. What a wasted trip. The coffee was vile as usual, and I froze while choking it down. I will never return to that place.

I went there to get a muffin and a coffee I asked if they could warm it up the guy that took order said nope never in my 48 years of life have I ever been told nope By a service worker and on top of that the muffin was so small it took me 2 bites to eat it and the coffee was not good and I asked to get a hot coffee iced he also said nope that is ridiculous I won’t be back ever again unless I get a free coffee

Always come to farmhouse coffee when I visit Philly. My daughters favorite place. Now mine. Just didn't get a pastry last time we visited. I had placed a large order, and they missed putting in my husband's pastry. Coffee was good, so that helped. Check them out, fun vibe inside.

The coffee is really great. However, the bakery items are either stale, over-baked, or not fresh that day. This last time was my third attempt to get a decent bakery item and like the other two times it was a disappointment. Do not get the scones, they don’t even offer to heat them up and since they are not freshly baked, it was hard as a rock. I wont ever bother with bakery items again. Honestly, I wouldn’t go here if this place wasn’t so conveniently located for me and they didn’t serve such good coffee. Cute atmosphere on the inside and I appreciate the drive-thru, but the food leaves something to be desired.

I love the Farmhouse — the coffee, baked goods and atmosphere are some of the best in Downingtown. Will is the man, and he always remembers our names and orders. We go there most days of the week for a pick-me-up and love patronizing this business. On the weekends this place is PACKED and I’ve walked out a few dozen times over the last couple years waiting in a line for 10+ minutes that’s not moving. I have been to other coffee shops in the area that will have a line out the door that they get through in less than 5 minutes because they have several shots of espresso lined up ready to go at any moment.
