We went to Slate Bleu last night for the first time. It has a wonderful atmosphere; it's quiet and cozy. We started with the D'escargots - escargot in a delicate garlic butter, with a light, flaky pastry shell sitting atop the dish. It was delicious, I wish there were 5 more of those pastry shells! We had 2 entrees; the first was Pan Seared Scallops with a mushroom risotto and asparagus. They were perfect - they're among the best scallops I've had. We had one of the specials that evening for our next entree; the Gnocchi, with tomatoes and mushrooms in a very tasty sauce. It was a delightful meal and the service was excellent!

Love this place over the years. Always excellent food , wine and cocktails. You have to try the baked oysters! It seems they have recently made a few changes in the ambiance. If you haven't dined here before, then you may want to ignore the rest of the review. Gone are the amuse bouche, white table clothes, madeleines, dim lighting and paying your server at the table. The menu seems to be smaller , but portions seem slightly bigger.

1st visit. 5PM Saturday night. Reservation helpful. The staff is super friendly. Had 3 seafood dishes. Mussels, Bronzino, and scallops. All done perfectly. Apple tart dessert was excellent. Will definitely return. note: The kitchen closes at 9PM.

Really cute spot for delicious food!! Do not skip over this place! Menu is small but perfect. If you are looking for food with great flavors, this is the place. Wouldn't think that a great French place existed in the burbs, but this is it. Everything, from the sauce that the chicken livers are cooked in to the flavorful and thick gnocchi, was excellent. I also had the beef tartare, which rivals the ones I ate in Paris. Also, staff was super nice and friendly.

A wonderful place to enjoy special occasions. My partner and I celebrated our first anniversary together and everything about Slate Bleu exceeded our expectations. Great wine selections and we highly recommend getting the gnocchi as an appetizer for two. Enjoyed our time here immensely and would recommend it to anyone!

What did you do?? We have been coming here for over 15 years. It was our favorite restaurant in d town. Your post pandemic policies were excruciating and we stayed away. After seeing that nonsense finally go away I was excited to visit again. They changed the whole platform. A wine bar with limited food, that is overpriced. We were there on a friday night and I could count on 1 hand how many patrons were there. We had a nice time and the bartender Kristen was superb. Bring back the old menu and expand the bar area to where it was before. Seems like you are trying to compete with Frost. Mistake, big mistake!

We used to go here all the time. Covid-19 put this place in a world wind. Unfortunately, after most restaurants and bars let up restrictions, this place held on to them. Just recently, they introduced a menu, which is very limited. The bar and restaurant were always crowded on Friday nights, but not when we were there. The bar tender, Christin, was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, unless they return to the previous format and menu, we won't be returning anytime soon. I really don't see this once great place lasting long.

Amaizing atmosphere, outstanding food, awesome service. We ordered chicken liver as appetizer and it was delicious. All presentations were well crafted and on a cusual side, not pompous. For main course we ordered stake and see scallops. Stake was soft and really melted in your mouth. Scallops were prepared with risotto. Excellent combination, and, of course, each dish was prepared with its own souce. We enjoyed our dinner and ambiance. Highly recommend!

Intimate space, fantastic French food, outstanding cocktails and wine. Quite possibly the best boulevardier cocktail we’ve ever had. We will be back, what a hidden gem.

I maybe don't want to tell too many about this place, but I can't contain my enthusiasm for the food, staff & drinks. If you read this & go, only tell your best friends & family: we do want it to get too crowded.

This is a high end restaurant in Doylestown near the train station. We were a party of six. We had tried to get reservations a few weeks earlier, but because their dining hours are very limited, we weren't able to right away. The only other downside to the experience besides the hours is that It is a little pricey. For example, the oysters were $4 apiece, not crazy, but still on the higher end for our area.Everyone's dinner was delicious. The menu is not broken into categories such as appetizers, main courses, etc. You can order a main course as your starter and an app for dessert if you wish. We shared oysters, the cheese platter, and bruschetta as appetizers, which were all really tasty.I don't recall what each of us had for dinner, but some highlights were the poached salmon, bronzino, steak tartare, and chicken livers. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. A lot of us shared during this course too. The portions are filling and very satisfying. The decor and setting are quite unique and create a lovely ambience. The building is a refurbished factory. The bar is a focal point - beautiful dark wood with subtle lighting. The tables and decor are tasteful with interesting artwork. My husband and I would like to return in the future for a date night.

Aside from the chairs being a bit tiny, there are no other complaints to present. Steak a poivre, bronzino, and soupe de poisson were all delicious. Same goes for the cocktails.
