Love this place over the years. Always excellent food , wine and cocktails. You have to try the baked oysters! It seems they have recently made a few changes in the ambiance. If you haven't dined here before, then you may want to ignore the rest of the review. Gone are the amuse bouche, white table clothes, madeleines, dim lighting and paying your server at the table. The menu seems to be smaller , but portions seem slightly bigger.
1st visit. 5PM Saturday night. Reservation helpful. The staff is super friendly. Had 3 seafood dishes. Mussels, Bronzino, and scallops. All done perfectly. Apple tart dessert was excellent. Will definitely return. note: The kitchen closes at 9PM.

We went to Slate Bleu last night for the first time. It has a wonderful atmosphere; it's quiet and cozy. We started with the D'escargots - escargot in a delicate garlic butter, with a light, flaky pastry shell sitting atop the dish. It was delicious, I wish there were 5 more of those pastry shells!
