Used to love this restaurant I don’t know what happened new chef? Food was mediocre at best love capers but it looked like they dumped a whole jar on the entree and our service very poor looked like some new untrained staff you can tell they didn’t want to be there.

We are regular diners at Domani Star. It really is the perfect restaurant- BYOB and a menu that changes with the seasons. A great variety of salads, appetizers, meat, fish and pasta entrees, and tempting deserts. Always excellent service and tables inside and out. A woman-owned business.

My wife and I went to Dtown a couple of weeks ago at the last minute to grab a bite to eat. It was a night out so all outside dining was booked as expected. We ventured over to Domani Star to see if they had anything.. they said they did have indoor seating open.. so we took the table. What a great choice (luck).. the food was perfect.. I wish I remembered our servers name.. she was very friendly and had great suggestions.. Thanks for a great night!!

Finally made it to this restaurant after hearing how wonderful it was. So glad we came. The food and service were excellent. We shared the antipasti and both had pasta dishes which were outstanding. Karly our server was awesome. Can’t wait to go back!

Went with friends here last night. It is a BYOB which is nice. Service is very good. I ordered the insalata pera which was good. I would have liked more blue cheese crumbles but the size of the salad was good. I do think it was priced a bit on the higher side. The calamari was excellent as was the side of marinara. I ordered the eggplant starter which was filled with ricotta. Had a bitter taste to it. My friends each enjoyed their selections of salmon and pasta with shellfish.

Because I am always looking for the perfect restaurant to please my 28-year-old vegan granddaughter, my decision to try Domani Star did not disappoint. My granddaughter ordered the tomato basil soup which was served with two spoons so I can attest to the freshest of the hardy flavorful start of our meal. Next, the Insalata Pera overflowed with colorful greens, crisp fruit, vegetables, and toasted pecans. I added protein to my salad in the form of a moist and equally flavorful grilled salmon. There was no room for dessert. However, the sweet service we received had satisfied us both.

We went to Domani Star for our anniversary this year and had a delicious dinner as we enjoyed our bottle of Cabernet that we brought along. There were two other couples also celebrating anniversaries the same night. We also ran into two other groups of friends and had a truly "Doylestown Type" night with fine food, good drink and friendly faces. Highly recommended for a casual or special dinner.

Located next to Domani is their sister restaurant Sorella. It is open for seating on Friday and Saturday nights. Friday night has jazz and is one of my favorite places on Friday! Great food and people. There is more space and the noise level is less in Sorella.

First time here, with friends that are frequent patrons. Saturday night dinner in lovely Doylestown was disappointing. Our table was wedged in the entryway and might as well have been in Times Square given the constant traffic of the waitstaff and incoming/outgoing guests. I can't count the number of times I was bumped. That said, the waitstaff was efficient on this busy night but really no personality. The room was hot. Not warm, but actually hot. The food - other than the amazing crusted meatballs - was just okay. Yes, portions are very large - definitely plan on sharing a salad - but the shrimp stuffed with crab, as an example, was very salty and the crab, though generous, was very, very bready. Perhaps another night, cooler, less crowded, at a different table .... perhaps. I don't think I'll ever know since I don't plan to return.

We visited Domani Star for an early evening dinner. We were greeted by a friendly hello and given the requested "quiet table" in a corner. The area near the bar was closed because of an air conditioner malfunction, but the main room was cooled by fans and was comfortable. Our server, Carla, was informative and helped us select starters and entrees. The veal and beef meatball starter was a good choice- meatballs ( large) with a crispy exterior and a tender, well-seasoned interior tender . Entrees ( large portions) were a vodka-sauced veal and a veal with eggplant in a plum tomato sauce. The vodka sauce was nicely done and did not overpower the veal. The plum tomato sauce had a bit too much rosemary in it but the eggplant was crisp and well presented on top of the veal. In a restaurant that has veal as the specialty of the kitchen, I might have expected the veal to be juicier, but both entrees were a bit dry, though tasty. Overall, however, the meal was a good, basic Italian meal, served by attentive waitstaff . The dessert of the night was chocolate pudding. Do not miss it if it is available. It's decadent! Parking is on the street, metered, but free after five PM, and there is a municipal lot nearby. Of course,Doylestown has many shops to visit as you walk off your meal! Domani Star is a good choice for a meal, especially if you get there early. As the space becomes more crowded, the noise level rises dramatically . Tables are closely spaced.
