Having lived in Manhattan for years, I am a bagel snob. I don't consider the large, doughy, round pieces of bread sold in most Bucks County shops "bagels." So, I was thrilled to learn about Bagel Barrel on FB. Manhattan s right on State Street in Doylestown! They are boiled before baking, as real bagels should be. And they are delicious ?.
Want a NY bagel in Doylestown? Then this is the place to go. The staff was incredibly friendly when our large group of classmates (~12) all arrived at the same time for bagels before an event. The friendly staff and owner accommodated us and the food was made fresh very quickly. You order at the counter and then pay when the staff calls your name. Hands down the best bagels and best coffee.My nova lox bagle was delicious and made right.Staff is friendly, especially the owner who is a complete gentleman.We will definitely return for more good food.
