It's hard to go wrong on State St with its numerous restaurants and shops, so this one fits in perfectly. Super comfy downstairs and extra cozy layout upstairs, with a stylish decor. We enjoyed a rehearsal dinner on the second floor which had a wide array of appetizers and sweets. The space was perfect for mingling and light conversations. Worth a visit.

Great cozy spot in Doylestown! The menu is the same as 86 West but the little bar inside State Street is a hidden treasure. The bartender on Friday nights is Peyton and she is a gem. Her drinks are terrific! We shared the buffalo shrimp, guacamole with chips, and the filet and mozzarella. The guacamole is always a massive portion and consistently delicious! The buffalo shrimp are lightly breaded and filled with just the right amount of spice. The star of the show is the filet and mozzarella. It's like eating a mozzarella stick with perfectly cooked filet. You can even request to get the filet cooked to your liking! State street is a must try if you are in Doylestown!

Apparently the steak house isn’t open anymore. We made reservations for here but were sat next to the bar in 86 west. Our romantic night was loud and mediocre. No steak for 2 or seafood tower anymore. I ordered a Margarita and I got a pint Glass of something w tequila in it. Still not sure what it was. If I had known we would have went somewhere else. Steak came out beyond well done when ordered med rare. It was beyond loud. It would be great for a night out w the girls but not a romantic dinner for 2.

10/19/2021 Our event held at this stunningly beautiful venue was sheer perfection! The filet was one of the best I ever had and this was the general consensus from everyone whom ordered the filet. The salmon was fresh and grilled perfectly as my husband and other guest remarked how delicious the food was. Our waitress Veronica then served our guest chocolate torte cake and cheesecake which is made from scratch as the bartender owns Sweet, Chic and Savory desserts. This is mow my favorite place to have private events and I hesitated because I know once the word gets out it will be everyone’s favorite! All I can say is WOW! One last thing the interior design is so beautiful that I took a photo of the company name so I could hire them!

I believe this place is out of business and can understand why! When you have the word steak in the name of the business - one would think that the specialty is steak and there is a level of expertise on how to prepare a steak to a diner's choice - wrong!

Always wanted to try it out since it opened this past summer. Food was a little salty (risotto cake special, crab cake, mushroom shumai):- Mushroom shumai drenched in too much soy sauce.- New York Strip was requested medium-rare, but served medium-well.Despite this, the food was very good. Favorites included the crispy octopus, grilled swordfish, truffle Parmesan fries, risotto cake, and crab cake.The interior is amazing! I had previously been when it was the Knight House in winter 2012. The SSSS is more inviting and homely.I would recommend. Next time I visit, I’ll try your scallops.

I celebrated my PhD yesterday in this excellent restaurant. Well we had a marvelous evening and the place was unquestionably one of the reasons for this successful evening. We were visiting town (Mercer Museum) and didn't have reservations, found the place last minute using Google Maps, showed-up, and they seemed reluctant but gave us a great table. It became clear really quickly that the place was getting busier than expected. While they weren't able to get to our table as quickly as we would have liked, they were clearly working hard to keep up with the sudden rush. I have to say everything we ordered was superb. The cocktails were great. I had the Panko Scallops, which I really want more of right now. My dinner guest had the Rack of Lamb, which I got to share in a bit and were very good. This place has it together, even under pressure. I'm very impressed.
