This was our first time dining at Waterwheel Tavern on a rainy Saturday. The service and ambiance were great, but unfortunately the food was awful. First off, the menu prices online don’t match the prices in-house. As a restaurant manager myself, I know the first thing you do after changing prices is update your website — it’s basic transparency. The Brussels sprouts were overcooked, my boyfriend’s frenched chicken was dry, overcooked, and lackluster, and for $28 it was maybe 4 ounces of meat. I ordered the “Seasonal Special” Harvest Ravioli, which was described as butternut squash ravioli with sage brown butter, toasted pumpkin seeds, spinach, and tomatoes. What I got instead was plain cheese ravioli — the kind you could make at home — drenched in butter. There was so much of it, it was literally dripping down my face with each bite. Then came the biggest shock: a 9 oz pour of “house cab” was $17 a glass! Two glasses came to $34. I buy Daou Cabernet regularly — it’s even on my own wine list — and that price is insane for a house pour. Overall, while the service was excellent, the food and pricing were a huge disappointment. Sadly, we won’t back
We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at the water wheel tavern and it was beyond expectation! The service was incredible, the food was delicious. The room had a lovely ambience, also they decorated the tables with little accent pampas grass in cute vases, and had my fiance and I sitting in these beautiful chairs. They were very helpful and we would definitely recommend hosting your events here. Thank you to all the staff that helped make our wedding so special!

My family gathered for my mother's 80th birthday party. We got the Dyer Room that was spacious and very beautiful atmosphere. The food and service was phenomenal and everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you to the staff for their efficiency and pleasant service!

Love the Water Wheel! I frequent this restaurant for dinner, and it is always a superb meal. I also run a networking group that meets weekly here for lunch, and they are a delight to deal with. They always take care of us so well and provide us with an excellent lunch for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Delicious quality food in a nice atmosphere. Waitstaff was friendly and did a great job. Still one of the better places to eat. I can't wait to go back!

The Water Wheel Wagon has a bit of a dingy atmosphere, but overall it wasn’t a bad experience. The food was good, though the cook seemed to slip up on the salad and left off a couple of items listed on the menu—we had to point it out. On the upside, the bartender was friendly, attentive, and kept things pleasant. It also wasn’t busy, which made for a nice, relaxed visit. I’d go back if I were in the area, but it’s not a spot I’d go out of my way for.

We just happened to be at the art festival in Doylestown and looking for a place to get a quick bite. We had the best service with Sean. He was hospitable, efficient. Very friendly. His service was outstanding. Our food was very good. My husband said they were the best wings he's had. I had the lamb chops and beet salad. It was delicious. We will return and tell our friends.

Big bar and indoor seating but huge outdoor seating (with the train running right beside the deck). Pleasant service and decent food will have us coming back.

Such a good place for dinner and drinks when the weather is nice out - especially on their patio! The appetizers were amazing, we LOVED the cheesesteak eggrolls and the lobster mac & cheese. Our drinks took a little time to get to our table, but our waitress was so friendly and attentive that it didn’t matter. Can’t wait to come back again!

Visited a couple of weeks ago. Was very good food and an exceptionally friendly server. I had the French Dip. Very well prepared and presented. We split the pretzels for an appetizer. My friend had the Beet Salad and said it was great. I wish this place was closer because I would definitely come back. I think it is a great spot for a date.

Kat and Richard are awesome! There is a variety menu for everyone’s taste. Super friendly service with good drinks! I love their impossible burgers, their lobster bisque, always new appetizers. We have tried and loved their tostados and lollipop chops which were delicious. Great food atmosphere and service!
