Water Wheel has quickly become our favorite place to eat. The food is excellent, the servers are so kind, quick, and knowledgeable. Our empty glasses and plates always disappear with us barely even noticing, water glasses were refilled regularly. Every single staff member we came in contact with had a big smile and was so helpful. And, if for no other reason, please come try the soft pretzel knots. They are unmatched. The drinks are always unbelievable too!! I can’t say enough about how much we love this place.

The Waterwheel is a generally a good place. But this particular instance was for a company holiday luncheon. Instead of putting our group together a one table, they decided to split us up. I politely asked to have our group put together, but that request was declined. Our group of 16 was in a completely empty room with empty tables and chairs all around us, at least enough for another 40 people. The fact that my request could not have been accommodated is absolutely ridiculous. I'd recommend the Waterwheel for a group of two or four, I'd definitely not recommend Waterwheel for a larger group. They have the space for a larger group, but seem to not know how to use it. We will be booking our holiday luncheon elsewhere next year!

The Tuna starter was soooo good. Everything on the menu has cool little twists or sauces on them. I Could barely choose what to eat! I would definitely recommend this place! Also, great beer section. All kinda of Cool beers, Not just IPAs like most places.

Our server was great and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The food and drinks, however, were lackluster. My cocktail was not very good and our appetizers were cold. My friend ordered fish and chips which came out dark brown and tasted of burnt oil. She ordered a cheesesteak as a replacement which was overcooked. Again, our server was amazing when we replaced the item but overall the food was pretty bad.

Stopped into the Water Wheel Tavern recently and had a mixed but overall decent experience. While the food was okay, it wasn’t anything particularly spectacular. The French onion soup was pretty disappointing, and unfortunately the steak frites wasn’t good at all. That said, several other items on the menu looked really appealing, and I’d be open to giving it another try to explore some different dishes.
It’s also worth noting that other members of my party had a much better experience with their mains—specifically the tavern burger and the pot pie—which they said were really good.
Where this place truly stands out is the bar. The bartenders, Speed and David, were the best—super knowledgeable about drinks, attentive, and providing top-tier customer service. The bar itself is very clean, well-maintained, and has a good amount of TVs, making it a comfortable spot to hang out.
They also have a great drink menu with plenty of beers and cocktails to choose from.

My wife got the Short Rib Tacos, I got the Fish & Chips. Both were extremely Flavorful & Well Made. The Fries were crispy but not Crunchy. Will definitely be going back again. Oh & the Hostess was exceptionally Friendly.

Threw a baby shower for my sister here today and it was just wonderful, the room was beautiful and the staff (Katie, Meredith, and Jim) were so helpful everything went off without a hitch and the food was great as well. Would definitely recommend this venue for a party!

This was our first time dining at Waterwheel Tavern on a rainy Saturday. The service and ambiance were great, but unfortunately the food was awful. First off, the menu prices online don’t match the prices in-house. As a restaurant manager myself, I know the first thing you do after changing prices is update your website — it’s basic transparency. The Brussels sprouts were overcooked, my boyfriend’s frenched chicken was dry, overcooked, and lackluster, and for $28 it was maybe 4 ounces of meat. I ordered the “Seasonal Special” Harvest Ravioli, which was described as butternut squash ravioli with sage brown butter, toasted pumpkin seeds, spinach, and tomatoes. What I got instead was plain cheese ravioli — the kind you could make at home — drenched in butter. There was so much of it, it was literally dripping down my face with each bite. Then came the biggest shock: a 9 oz pour of “house cab” was $17 a glass! Two glasses came to $34. I buy Daou Cabernet regularly — it’s even on my own wine list — and that price is insane for a house pour. Overall, while the service was excellent, the food and pricing were a huge disappointment. Sadly, we won’t back
We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at the water wheel tavern and it was beyond expectation! The service was incredible, the food was delicious. The room had a lovely ambience, also they decorated the tables with little accent pampas grass in cute vases, and had my fiance and I sitting in these beautiful chairs. They were very helpful and we would definitely recommend hosting your events here. Thank you to all the staff that helped make our wedding so special!

My family gathered for my mother's 80th birthday party. We got the Dyer Room that was spacious and very beautiful atmosphere. The food and service was phenomenal and everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you to the staff for their efficiency and pleasant service!
