The staff was very friendly. They made sure we had refills & anything else we might need. They also had good banter & conversations with us. The food was very good. My husband had the Capitanas enchiladas & I had the trio fajitas. We made sure to save room for some fried ice cream. It was served in a cinnamon covered tortilla bowl with the perfect touch of honey & whipped cream.

My order was wrong after I told the server what I didn't want. Wasn't expecting broccoli in a steak burrito. It was more like a stir fry. The beans were a little bland. The rice and chips were great.

A service charge to walk in and order one to-go burrito. It was never mentioned and just added to the bill. Terrible way to do business, especially when it amounted to a third of the bill.
Burrito was average tasting but small.

**UPDATE** The last time I was at El Gordo, I gave it a 5 star review. That will be restored after I am able to resolve a recent issue with El Gordoβs adjoining restaurant, KOME. Below you will find my review of KOME, as it doesnβt have itβs own google page as of yet.
My recent dining experience at KOME was extremely disappointing, especially given the considerable amount of money I spent, eager to try this new establishment. The food quality was truly horrible, marking it as the worst hibachi experience I have ever encountered.
I immediately voiced my concerns to our waitress, who promptly escalated the issue to the manager. Unfortunately, the manager never came to our table to discuss potential resolutions or address our concerns. Consequently, we were still charged the full bill of over $120 for two adults and one child.
While our hibachi cook and waitress delivered an A for effort, clearly doing their best with the resources available, the shortfall in this experience falls squarely on management. They appear to lack the necessary skills or training to properly oversee a hibachi operation, effectively address customer concerns, or provide adequate customer service.
I strongly believe this establishment needs a properly trained chef or manager to develop a suitable menu and adequately train staff. I would like to ask the owner to reach out to me directly to discuss and resolve this significant issue. The owner can contact me through the email address associated with this Google review. -Thanks
Our family ate together on the hibachi side. So fun! Some ordered off the El Gordo Burro menu, and some ordered from the hibachi. Everyone enjoyed their food and the entertainment! It was surprisingly affordable.
Excellent food and drinks. Definitely a must try!
We love El Gordo Burro! The best guacamole ever! Wonderful service always. We come as often as we can!

Love that they offer vegan options!! I always go for the sofritas in their crunchy taco bowl. It's great to have options besides rice/beans and veggie fajitas. I enjoy eating here, reccomend it.

Iβm not typically one to leave a bad review but after 2 bad experiences, here we are. I decided to give them another try after a previous bad experience and order dinner here. I had seen posts all over social media about how El Gordo Burro was extending their hours from 8 pm to 9 pm for the summer. I placed an online order, received a confirmation email, and already had the charge for the order on my card statement. I got to the restaurant at 8:30 ish to pick up my order (should have still been open for another 30 minutes). To start, it took over 5 minutes for someone to help me. When someone finally came to help me and I said I placed an online, I heard someone from the kitchen yell βwell I donβt know what they want us to do, we donβt have an orderβ. I proceeded to show my confirmation email as well as my card statement and was told multiple times βI donβt know what you want us to do. We didnβt get the order and weβre closed.β I asked if I could at least get my money back since I was in fact charged by El Gordo Burro and was again told no they couldnβt and that it was an issue with my bank. Needless to say, I will not be dining here again and I will continue to go to Taco Inc for all of my Mexican dining needs.

My husband's tacos were not hot when they were served. Rice and beans need more spice. Pleasant decorations. Cute stuffed donkeys. Servers were nice.
