“Every time I come in here I’m surprised. The bar staff is attentive, the prices are the best in the city and sometimes the owner even decides to feed everybody on a whim. There’s always a friendly person to talk to and almost everytime somebody sends a drink my way. Each time i see improvements being done to the interior too. I’m sad that I moved further away right as this place was gaining traction. Truly a hometown hero spot that welcomes everybody. Almost makes you want to keep it a secret but then that wouldn’t help them. Come in for a drink afterwork. Its something different.“

“I have been asking for a decade what happened to all the REAL bars in America-if you want an actual old school dive bar-this is it!!! Has the atmosphere that everyone knows everyone on a Tuesday at noon-has cheap drinks, juke box, pool table etc. and PEOPLE-people that speak to each other-I feel like every bar now people go with their friends so they don’t meet people in the bar-NOT the case with this place!! If u want to meet people, have a great time-go here! My favorite spot in Pennsylvania!“

“If you're in Newport and looking for a drink, this is the place. It's not pretty, but it is the epitome of a hole in the wall. Beware, they allow smoking but not vaping inside. Drinks were reasonably priced. Patrons and staff alike were friendly.

Parking: It's best to park in town and just walk as there aren't really any parking options at the bar itself.“
