Yes it’s a dive but the people are friendly and the beer is cheap!
Great local hangout for cheap drinks and good times.
Went to the Hard Hat as a part of my buddies Bachelor party. We had a great time throwing darts and playing pool. Gary the bartender hustled to get us drinks until he couldn't breath. It's just a great small town watering hole.

The Hard Hat is a small town bar in Newport, known for its friendly staff and easy conversations with locals. It may not be the prettiest place, but it's a hole in the wall gem. The bartender is awesome, drinks are reasonably priced, and the atmosphere draws a crowd. Just be prepared for the smoke inside and limited parking options nearby.
