Sugar Run Brewing Company

We've been here a few times for beers and snacks (the queso is awesome) and everything is always really good. I like that they have a wide variety of beers - something for everyone. We were here most recently for a small birthday party for my mom outside on the adorable little patio, and the staff were super nice and really took care of us! Great experience.

I was at Slinky and decided to stop on the side of where their bowling location was. I was at the bar and Diane greeted me with a sample of beers that I told her I would drink. All of them were delicious! She was so delightful and I enjoyed meeting her. I will be stopping by for the food and drinks there.

Hidden gem in Altoona vicinity. They smoke BBQ out back. Smoked beef brisket Tacos were great. But wait, the beers are phenomenal! How have I missed this place when it's only 45 min away.

Very good brewery. The owner met me with a sample of the exact beer that I wanted to try, the Dortmunder lager - and it was perfect. It was full bodied, just great.
Stood around chatting with perfect strangers about nothing while drinking the perfect beer.
Great atmosphere. Lots of parking.

The beer was okay and the food was good but you got very little. Their website is broken I tried to fill out their form to discuss our recent service and the form goes to a page not found once submitted. Their events page is broken on phone browsers. Their staff is mediocre and seem timid to handle issues in the bar. When they first opened the beer was better and the food was the same.

Extremely nice, fun, attentive staff and owner. Fantastic brewing as well!!! Would ALWAYS recommend to anyone including my closest friends.

Beer and drinks are good but food didn’t wow me. My sandwich was 6 inches cut into 2 served with a side of bagged chips. Just not a food spot I would personally return to for the price. If you are going to drink tho this place is a good spot! Also staff were beyond nice and place was clean and beautiful. Hoping to see some better food in the future 😉

Hidden Gem. If you're travelling from Pittsburgh to State College, make a stop here. Great beer and great food. Wish I lived closer.

Do not order the Caesar Salad. It was awful. Very lemony which is not an ingredient of Caesar dressing. Even had a slice of lemon on the top for presentation. No mention of lemon in the menu description either. The added chicken was definitely frozen bagged chicken. Will not go back.

Stumbled upon this place today courtesy of Google. 10/10 beers - highly recommend the Milk Stout. Bartenders & owner were all very friendly. Will definitely be back!

Fast friendly service, samples of their featured beer given out before you even ask (sold me on buying a large bottle), and the food looked good... Didn't eat anything while there but definitely will next time.
