Great place
Found the only website we could. Kingston location is only one with an actual website. We looked at the different pies and cakes and decided which one. We all love peanut butter so it was easy. When we cut into it, it is clearly only vanilla and chocolate ice cream. I don't know why this is called a peanut butter pie. The only peanut butter is a very small amount swirled on top the pie. It clearly states on the website vanilla peanut butter and chocolate peanut butter ice creams. That is what we were expecting. The 2 to be swirled ice creams. Very disappointed. For peanut butter it should be very tasty. Again, when eating it, you can barely taste any peanut butter. Won't get another pie from here
Products & service are excellent. The main criticism is that they require cash payment.
Manning has been around since at least I was very little. This ice cream is very good and this store is family owned. I have had the opportunity to come here many times and explore the various flavors available. I am so grateful that our stopped here after meets to ensure we got a taste of Manning ice cream! I would highly recommend sampling it if you are in the region.
Waited in line when it was my turn for some strange reason I got skipped and the guy behind me got served next. I don't know what kind of business has that kind of horrible business practice but you guys need to do better, maybe if you paid more you can get some adults instead of some young kids who still need mommy to hold their hand
I make a point of stopping at Manning every time I'm in Scranton. The homemade ice cream has been consistently fresh and free of ice crystals and grit. Every flavor I've tried is excellent, and there is always a large variety including many creative ingredient combinations. The staff are friendly and accommodating, always willing to let someone try a sample (this is a double edged sword when the line is long).
There is one huge drawback: they only accept cash, which to me is just ridiculous. Am I really expected to keep a wad of cash in my pocket for the 5% of businesses that don't accept cards? Last I checked, the ATM next door applies a $2.00 surcharge 😬. Another drawback is very long lines in the summer - but if you still eat ice cream in the winter like me, you're in and out.
Negatives aside, the ice cream is consistently excellent and that's what's really important.
This place is awesome, the ice cream is great i personally like the cotton candy. I come here whenever I am in Pennsylvania.

So I've been here before and loved the chocolate truffle. Today I tried something different. Jamoca chip, thinking it would taste like coffee. Instead it tastes like coconut. Why wouldn't that be listed. So disappointed. I didn't eat it.
Always a family favorite ❤️
