“First time here after many recommendations. Had dinner with friends and luckily they arrived early and got a table, because when we arrived, there was quite a line/wait to be seated which I hear is normal. Excellent beer selection, and the meal was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.”

“As someone who eats out a lot, and has worked as a Chef for the last 8 years I can genuinely say I was more than happy with food, service, and prices. One of the servers noticed our son took a liking to her Boba sanitizer cover and let him play with it over the course of lunch.Love having the option of boba flights and coffee flights- helps to decide in the future on a favorite or even just give you a taste of everything each time. The absolute best part of our breakfast was the banana split waffle sticks though. The syrup isn't overpowering, the waffle sticks are fluffy inside and crispy on the outside, and they used fresh sliced fruit. This honestly is the best breakfast place in Scranton, Dunmore, and I'd argue locally in general. Lived in the area for about 4 years and are sad to be leaving the area especially after finding a new gem.”

“Sandwiches so good we went two days in a row! The clerks at the counter were very helpful in making suggestions for us on our first visit. My daughter and I followed the recommendation and shared the steak & cheese hoagie and were not disappointed! My son-in-law had a tasty chicken parmesan hoagie. Went back the next day to try the sausage & peppers and roast beef hoagies, while my son-in-law did a repeat of the chicken parm. All were excellent and were a great value! Will have to be a go-to spot when I’m in town!”

“Back Burner Cafe provided catering after a family member passed away. I live away from the area and reached out to this business to deliver. The owner responded promptly and provided suggestions. The food was prepared and delivered the following day. Relatives reported that the food was delicious. It arrived hot and packaged well. I hope to stop in at the restaurant sometime when I am in the area. Highly recommended. A big plus is that it is woman owned and operated.”

“My husband and I made a reservation for our anniversary dinner. We were greeted and immediately sat. Our waitress came over to take our drink order and deliver us a warm roll. They offer specials and an extensive menu. Most entrées come with a side of pasta or potato of the day and vegetable. My husband ordered the chicken Parm with a side of pasta. The sauce was delicious as well as chicken perfectly fried. The portion was large and plenty. I ordered the chicken Saltimboca. I had the potato and vegetable. The baked potato was dried out, and the spinach was frozen. The taste was very much like homestyle Italian cooking. The decor was rather dated with an older clientele. The service was excellent and everyone friendly. I highly recommend reservations. This is a nice fine dining experience for the area. The food was not the best I ever had or over the top. I would try lunch in a the future here. This is not the type of food you get in NY or NJ at a fine Italian restaurant. It was ok and I enjoyed the experience. They have been in business for a long time and have been doing something great as they pack the house.”
