“What a hidden gem! Going to Rich's is like taking a step back in time and feels so homey and cozy. I took a friend who was visiting from one of the biggest foodie cities in the US, and he still raves about how perfect and fluffy his pancakes were! I definitely recommend them. My breakfast burrito was excellent, too, and service was fantastic.”

“Stopped for a beer and some food which turned out to be amazing. Highly recommend eating here or stopping for one of the many beers they offer. Extremely clean inside with a great atmosphere. Accommodating staff that was very attentive and helped with any questions or requests. Seriously loved the boom boom shrimp and the beer cheese with the waffle fries. Food selection was very good and I will be back to try something else on the menu. Worth stopping here for a great dining experience.”

“Stopped by to order a sandwich to go. To my surprise, unless you're dining in, you don't receive the chips and pickle the menu promises! Not sure how that's deemed fair when I don't have the time to sit down and eat, and pay the same price as those who sit down.Other than that, the roast beef reuben was decent. Small for the price you pay, but tasty. The ambiance of the place is really nice, and seems like a great place to come to dine-in with friends or family.”

“Every time I get anything I receieve the best customer service ever. Two times I could remember within this last month is once with a pregnant worker she suggested different drinks and explained to my daughter what the green matcha drink thing was she excellent and just yesterday literally right before they closed I wanted a pumpkin iced latte and a worker expressed to me that the machines were already shut down but she could make me a an pumpkin iced coffee just as good. She was so nice and it was so amazing. Great customer service goes a long way. Thank you guys you are appreciated.”

“Had an amazing experience at Anthony's! My family of 5 came in today on a roadtrip from Florida to Vermont and got a large variety of foods. I got breakfast, but the table also got burgers, pizza, and even wings! Speaking of which, the wings were possibly the best wings my family has ever had, and it's a shame we don't live in the area to have them more often. The pancakes had a homecooked taste to them and the chocolate chips were simply decadent. It's a family owned restaurant, so the food took a bit, but it was well worth the wait. Thank you for an amazing experience, we will definitely be repeat customers next time we are in town. :)”

“We first heard of Chef Von through Next Level Chef. We stopped today as we passed through Scranton. We had the new hangover smash burger which was off the charts. Everyone was super friendly, food was amazing and we even got to briefly met Chef Von. Highly recommended. Get there before he wins next level and you won’t be able to get a seat.”

I point this out as an indication of acceptable food preparation from those that have better reference than me.But let me give you Gringo Rob's perspective... The food was delicious! Seemed of good quality, very flavorful, and chicken was cooked perfectly. Girl at counter was nice and helpful and the owner was cordial. Good experience and we would definitely go back.Some things that kinda bothered me as follows. There was gross lack of atmosphere. Yes, an enticing aroma greets you when you walk in but it ends there. Décor is low budget, the place looks like a recycled strip mall front (which it is), few lamps were added but bright high hats remain and the place is too clinical. I don't recall if there was even background Indian music playing.Food is served in cardboard dishes which get soggy, deform and absorb the yummy sauces. Sorry, I would sacrifice the environment for another lick of the sauce!And a big pet peeve with this place and others in general (yes, I know this is common practice now) is that after I stand in line and place my order and go to pay the point of sale device gives me options for a tip (with the girl staring at me as I have to make a decision). I hate this! I have not yet tasted the food. I have not yet experienced any service. This is not a tip at all. This is simply a strong arm technique to extract more revenue. Just raise the prices and dont do this!But the chicken tikka was yummy. And the chicken curry was yummy. Ooh, and the garlic naan was soo good. And I am old and grumpy. So I will go back and I encourage all to try this place! And if the owner reads this, think about the décor and cardboard pates and see what you can do.By the way, I did cave and gave 18% tip at the register when I paid. And to my surprise, the girl said 'thank you' - I think the first time the POS tip was ever acknowledged at any of the many places that I have been to that do this! Kudos to the young lady!”

“This is a hidden little treasure in NEPA. The food is absolutely amazing - everything from the avocado egg sandwiches to the grilled cheese to the coffee cake muffins! YUM & the coffee is delicious! The staff is so personable and easy going and the entire atmosphere of the shop is relaxing. We go in there and spend hours chatting and eating and drinking. “A most charming stroll down memory lane. Lots of neat look-sees here and old fashioned candies. They do lots of ice cream orders and the ambiance is worth a drive there. The owner is so friendly and even uses the old time rolling ladder to reach those high up treats. If my kids were little, I would definitely inquire about a birthday party there. I found BROADWAY LICORICE ROLLS and was transported back to 1976. Thanks to all the kind workers at Ballyhoo's.”

“This is by far one of the prettiest places to dine in our area. The entire property is spotless, beautiful and perfectly appointed. The staff and owner could not have been nicer or more attentive. We had sausage, bacon, pastries, italian and turkey paninis, free-range chicken with herbs, au jus & dumplings, waffles with berries, grilled vegetables. herb roasted potatoes and fresh baked artisanal rolls. The food was exceptional. The waffles were the absolute best I have ever had in my entire life. We can't wait to go back!”

“Always a win at Minooka! I’ve ordered pies and cakes for special occasions, and I’ve also dropped in for last-minute sweets from the display. Family and friends always compliment their desserts, and it has saved me tons of time with their easy online ordering. Their key lime pie has become a birthday tradition for my family, and the strawberry cake will probably be my daughter’s favorite birthday cake ever. The customer service is top notch, even on their busiest days like Pi Day and pickup for thanksgiving orders. My only suggestion would be to have a separate line for desserts ordered ahead on those busy days. I hope minooka continues to enjoy many more years of success with their delicious food and friendly service!Dietary restrictions: They have a designated gluten free freezer case with a great variety of desserts and breads. I’ve ordered gluten free cupcakes for a school party, and the teacher was impressed with how delicious they were!”
