My wife and I ate here while we were visiting Pittsburgh and the food is absolutely delicious. My wife got the lasagna while I got the chicken parm and both dishes were absolutely spectacular. My wife is still raving about the lasagna, saying it's the best she's ever had. The service is great, the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and take care of you like you are apart of the family. Highly recommend!

Over all everything was just okay. Expect for the meatballs. Tasted like frozen precooked ones. Wife said they tasted exactly like Sheetz her. .

I’ve ordered a few times on DoorDash. I’ve really only tried their pastas and soups - meals have been good every time I’ve ordered so far! Prices are really fair as well.

I haven't been in East Mckeesport for 15 years, and, I remembered Rene's. Thanks to the family that has kept it "the way Rene would have wanted it." Just finished the leftovers after I drove back to the center of the state. I've forgotten her name, but, the 70-year old waitress, who's been working there for 38 years, is just as nice and quick as ever. She's as nice and natural as could be. It made our visit even better just having her take care of us. To the kitchen staff, great fish sandwich as it's always been. Enough for 3 sandwiches. Great tartar sauce. Great mac N cheese. The coleslaw is grated finely and seasoned perfectly. Thanks again. Dave and Lynn Celvi

I remember going here when I was a little kid and I thought I would try it as an adult. There fries are like Checkers/Rally's fries where they have a seasoning on them which I was not excepting but it was good. The only down side is parking there is no parking and takeout seems to be the way to go at this place.

Love Rene's, their food is great, BUT if you are closed for vacation etc. please post on your site that you are closed. You have a website, it is not hard to update. Especially, you are closed for a week.

Wow! We have driven past this restaurant so many times and never stopped in u til this past weekend! The food was sooo good! The fried zucchini were amazing as well as the shrimp, wings, and my mom loved the pizza. Definitely going back for the fish sandwich!
