Amazing place! Staff was very friendly and the service was great! Not to mention the food is delicious! We will definitely be back!
What a wonderful Mexican Restaurant and Cantina. I’ve been there several times with friends and/or family, and each time everyone has been happy with their meal, the service and the ambiance.
Everything I’ve ordered there has been fantastic, especially their fajitas.
With all the wood and tiled surfaces, there aren’t many surfaces that could absorb the noise from the crowd, but it is more lively than annoying. I’d recommend making reservations, especially on the weekends. The people there, including the managers are very nice to deal with.
Overall, Rey Azteca is a great place to go if you are in the mood for delicious Mexican food.

Margs margs margs! Always have a good time here. Staff is always great and food is always hearty
I love it here! Food is good, drinks are good, the restaurant is clean, and the staff are super friendly and welcoming!! One of my favorite mexican restaurants in Norristown!
I loved my first experience here. Food was phenomenal. We got two appetizers which was big enough to share and still had leftovers. The drinks were great I had the Pina colada margarita, carne asada loaded fries and chimi churri bites. Definitely will be visiting again.

Good food at a fair price. The last Casita margaritas are the best. We have been there twice and the enchiladas are real good. Casual local dining and we will be back.

Nice restaurant with good food. Our waiter was missing some of the things we said and ordered but overall the main meal came out correctly and was delicious.

I had the fajitas. The meat wasn’t as juicy as I’d like. They give the absolute minimum beans and tortillas and will charge you an outrageous amount when you ask for more. I won’t be back.

This is the best Mexican restaurant I ever had and it’s my first time in PA, and they did not disappoint, their portions of food is definitely worth the price.

Read great reviews from people at Nextdoor so I had to check it out.
Like all Mexican restaurants we got the complimentary chips and salsa which seemed fresh and plentiful so that left me with a good feeling for the entrees.
I ordered the Fajitas Texanas (Steak, chicken and shrimp) for 2 at $39.99. Another person ordered the Fajitas Steak for $22.99.
Well, I expected at least double the food for $39.99 which Is why I ordered it. Boy I was wrong. Sure, we got 2 servings of beans, rice and lettuce – cheap stuff, but we got the same amount of meat on the skillet as the person who ordered just the Steak Fajitas. If you are going to pay close to double the price you’d expect larger portions, but we didn’t. Big disappointment. Management did not meet expectations so they should take this option off the menu.
Not only that, but the meat/ veggies were over cooked as the chef left everything on the grill way too long as the grease oozed out. On the other hand, the steak fajitas were cooked to perfection with crisp peppers not limp and little grease. So, the kitchen can cook food correctly, but they didn’t in our case.
I told the manager and got no response. Nothing was fixed or apologized for.
At another Mexican place we got exactly double the skillet for 2 which is what you’d expect. That’s 6 inches high of food. You don’t forget that!
So, for over $60 we got 2 entrees. One good and one bad. We still left a 20% tip as the service was attentive and quick. Not the waiter’s fault.
The restaurant had a chance to correct the mistakes but refused to. Given that there are better alternatives, we’re not coming back.
