This place has potential for being 4 stars, but I'm doing a 3 stars for today. Like, if I came back on a week day with less crowds then maybe I could see 4 stars. There's not a lot of great organization/order with the crowds. A lot of mixed feelings from the employees. There were some that were super friendly and seeking to help you - and then there were some that were annoyed that you are there and seemed like they didn't know what was going on. Just to note, I don't personally ski or snowboard. We visited Shawnee as we heard that this was a good beginners mountain. We took our kids here so that they could experience their first mountain trip. Our oldest daughter went for her first lesson on skiing. We signed some paperwork, got her rentals, and geared up. Slopes were so much fun! We went on a day with not many people so only one ski lift was open and still there was so no slow down! The employees are pleasant. More expensive than other ski mountains. Food is not impressive at all, especially the wings, definitely would not recommend.
