The Big A Grillehouse

My husband and I were there last Sunday, Father's day. Although our server Sharon did her best, the kitchen service was too slow. Note: it wasn't crowded.
We ordered fried calamari, lamb chops and linguine .
BE AWARE WITH THE BILL: It was included 20% gratuity ( is it legal?)also, a suggestion for add tip when we sign the credit card copy.

I have ordered from here four times so far in the last couple weeks and each time I've been very impressed with the food. 🍽️✅👍👍
It really was one of the best clam chowder's I've ever had. 🥇 And I've had it all over the East Coast.
They make a good cheeseburger which is not blackened by the grill. They must cook it on a flat iron.
The Chipotle chicken sandwich was great.
Grilled chicken caesar salad was good the dressing's good.

Food was very bland. The atmosphere felt like I was at a funeral parlor. The server was not attentive at all and only a few people in there.

The food was great and cooked well, it seemed like everything was freshly made. Which takes work so freaking long. So that's appreciated. It is old looking and smelling but the service is great and they are attentive. I'm not sure how they are when they are busy but there was at least 3 other groups there. The desert was absolutely amazing.

We were a new young couple, asked to be seated away from other people. The place was empty and the room was empty. Then they sat another couple right next to us, 12 inches away. How much power the host has! We never went back, still talking about how crappy that was. No respect for our request to be having some privacy. There was nobody else there, just us and the other couple. The food was not great enough to come back after suffering through that insulting and rude service after our request. Owners of this restaurant, pay attention to your host or hostess how they treat their customers!

Our food (ribs and rib eye steak) were cooked to perfection and very delicious. The service was excellent and the restaurant ambiance was delightful! We highly recommend the Big A Grillehouse!

Been coming to the Big A since we discovered it a few years ago and everything we’ve had here has been phenomenal. Tracy is a great chef and our “usual” waitress, Sharon is the best too.

Been coming to The Big A since we started coming to The Poconos a few years ago. Tracy’s dishes are all phenomenal but the bourbon peach glazed salmon is exceptional. Sharon has become our favorite waitress since our first visit. If you’re looking for a great meal, try The Big A!

The food and the service is good but the carpet in the bar area smells like mildew. Yuck. Needs an update!
