On a whim and due to massive hunger, my girlfriend and I booked a reservation for dinner.

Yes, as others have written, the place has an older interior, but it is eclectic.

Gianna took care of us. She was kind and prompt.

My gin martini was great but my girlfriend ordered their apple tini. Instead, she received a sour apple tini, which she hates. However, she was not in the mood to return it.

I started with their absolutely incredible New England clam chowder. Peppery and creamy, the chowder came with bacon and onion. This is the best chowder I have had since Charcuterie in Stroudsburg.

My girlfriend loved her salad as well as her giant chicken parmigiana. I ordered the queen cut of their prime rib with shrimp, including mashed potatoes and green beans. It was excellent. However, they added some sugar to the shrimp, which was horrific. I never imagined something like that happening. I also did not realize until right now that I had been charged for the king cut.

We shared their homemade tiramisu. This was dense and creamy and the lady fingers had been dipped in perfect espresso.

Other than holes in my cloth napkin, cobwebs in the corner, and some food and beverage issues, we will give Big A another try.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at The Big A Grillhouse located at 1 Fox Run Ln, East Stroudsburg, PA, and I must say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish!

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The place has a cozy yet elegant vibe, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions.

Our server, Sharon, was beyond exceptional—truly number one. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Her knowledge of the menu and genuine hospitality elevated the entire experience.

Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely incredible! I especially enjoyed the seafood cake, which was perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and bursting with fresh, delicate flavors on the inside. Another highlight was the clam chowder soup, rich and creamy with just the right balance of herbs and fresh clams—it was the perfect comfort dish.

Every bite reflected the chef’s skill and passion for quality. The portions were generous, the presentation was excellent, and the flavors were nothing short of amazing.

I highly recommend The Big A Grillhouse to anyone looking for truly remarkable food paired with top-notch service. Whether you’re local or just passing through, this is a must-visit restaurant.

I will definitely be coming back soon—thank you again to Sharon for making the evening so memorable.

Went here while on vacation. This restaurant is an hour and a half away from my home. This is now a place I will take my beautiful wife on special nights and take the family on other occasions. Great food and service is excellent. The atmosphere is nostalgic.

Food was decent. Waitstaff was nice. Food didn't come out all at once but I'm sure it was an isolated mistake. Place could use some updating but nice enough. All in all a good experience.

Service was great.

Food was decent, but I'm spoiled by places closer to home that (in my opinion) have better food for a lower cost. Kid's meals being $13 each is a bit much for me (as is the offering of mozzarella sticks + fries as a kid's meal, but it appears regional as this wasn't the only place that offered it).

Atmosphere gives upscale hunting lodge vibes, but that may again be a regional preference.

The waitress was amazing! 5 stars for her! The New England clam chowder was out of this world but the ribs were all fat. I mean all fat

It is a classic, unique restaurant. The wife and I stopped for our first visit. She had the veal parm, and I had scallops and shrimp. The entrees were delicious, but the strawberry cheesecake was the highlight for me.

My husband and I were there last Sunday, Father's day. Although our server Sharon did her best, the kitchen service was too slow. Note: it wasn't crowded.
We ordered fried calamari, lamb chops and linguine .
BE AWARE WITH THE BILL: It was included 20% gratuity ( is it legal?)also, a suggestion for add tip when we sign the credit card copy.
