Absolutely the best, most authentic Italian cuisine you’ll find this side of the Atlantic. My wife & I had a fabulous time for my birthday a few years ago & we felt like royalty after our tour & several courses we asked them to wheel us to our carriage because we had trouble walking.

From the moment you walk in, it's a wonderful experience. The chef greets you with a big smile. While you wait for your food, you have a tour to enjoy European culture. It's perfect. Each dish is a masterpiece, from the appetizer to the main course. Walking through the Venetian-style gardens is magnificent. The stables are beautiful. The experience is worth living. It's a part of Europe in the city, and you're sure to create beautiful memories.

Update. Just returned and even better than our 1st visit.

What an experience!
I hosted some friends to celebrate my wife's birthday, and could never have imagined the night turning out so special. Brando and the entire staff make you feel like a guest in their home. Let's start with the food. AMAZING!!!! They served us seven courses, each building off the one that proceeded it. The anticipation of what was coming out next made for a unique dinning experience. Note that the only thing you order in your entree which is ordered a few days in advance. Everything else is chosen by Brando and believe me, he does not disappoint.

As for the venue, I am not even sure I have the words to describe it. At first glance it almost seems underwhelming, until you start to walk around into the various rooms and find one amazing thing after another. The furniture, artwork and collection of things strewn around the property are amazing.

The kitchen was spotless and inviting, and even there you will find a eclectic collection of culinary gems.

One of the most unique dinning experiences any of us have ever had. Will be back for sure. 👏👏👏👏🐎👍❤️

What an amazing and unique experience: fun and unconventional!

We dined at La Locanda Del Cavallo for my girlfriend’s birthday and had a blast! I won’t spoil any of the surprises, but everything was a 10/10 from the food to the history tour, to meeting the chef, to the vibe/atmosphere. They are super accommodating of allergies and food preferences (just text ahead) so everyone is satisfied. Food is local and organic - classic European dishes with the chef’s seasonal flair. Check out their website for more info.

We can’t wait for our next excuse to return!!

Unique dining setting with a tour of the entire house. The staff is informative on each piece of art or displace within the house. Food is served hot and fresh, and delicious. Wait staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and makes sure all is right for your perfect night.

Diane And I shared a Mind-Blowingly fantastic and flavorful 5 course meal to celebrate our 27th anniversary together. And we experienced one of the top three best meals of our lifetime. We highly highly recommend you come here.

Went to a wedding here. What an amazing experience! I loved all of the antiques and the unique decor. The food is out of this world! Very high-end haute cusine! ☺️ The only thing I did not like was the wedding cake. It was WAY too sweet. But, that is a personal preference.

Kid-friendliness: NOT KID FRIENDLY. It is best to leave the kiddos with the babysitter. This place is for grown ups who want a classic experience. Not to be disturbed by poorly behaved children.

We had a magnificent dinner last night at Locando Cavallo with friends. It was more than a great dinner; it was truly a great experience. All 5 courses were amazing and it ended with a divine soufflé.
We have had the pleasure of eating at fine restaurants all over the world and this meal was definitely up there with the best of the best. We even got a tour of the property and had the opportunity to meet the Chef Brondo and see the kitchen. This would be an amazing place to have a party or a wedding. I can’t wait to go back for another special occasion.

Honestly, a very odd experience. We had fun, but I wouldn't return for the food. This doesn't really feel like a restaurant, it feels like a wedding venue that serves food on other days. The menu didn't make any sense (not that there is a menu). The French onion soup was nice and beefy, but no cheese or croutons which is an odd choice. The rolls were quite dense, which is a shame because the website talks about how the chef's mom made bread so good James Beard would rave about it. The "sampler course" honestly felt like leftovers from a wedding: a random shrimp, a stuffed mushroom, a deviled egg, a piece of beet. We had the osso bucco and the duck. The osso bucco was well cooked, but the sides were bizarre: a piece of carrot, a piece of parsnip, cinnamon apples? Nothing to soak up the osso bucco sauce. The duck was dry and overcooked. The souffle was excellent, the espresso was bad and tasted like it was made stovetop in a moka pot. Finally, it took 4 hours, which is just way too long for 5 courses. Overall, everyone there was very nice and the space is beautiful, it's just not somewhere I'll be rushing back to. At this price point ($175 a person), they could at least have a menu that is thought out.
