CHICKEN & WAFFLES $ Seafood!: The absolute BEST! This is a JEWEL of a neighborhood restaurant! I have been coming to Family Chicken & Waffles for months & have eaten many of the dishes at this small family owned restaurant. It has become one of my few goto restaurants here in the Lehigh Valley (the LV).The chicken (wings, legs & thighs) are the BIGGEST chicken pieces that I have ever seen, much less eaten. The taste is superb - crispy skin outside, yet juicy & tender inside. The food is served HOT and FRESH. So you know that it hasn’t been sitting around under heat lamps. And don’t get me started on their fried shrimp! It’s outstanding. Also, The service from all staff is given with a smile. The restaurant itself is very clean with the tables, table mats and sturdy chairs being spotlessly maintained. There are tables available for sit-down dining or waiting so that you can get your food to-go.Oh. I forgot to mention their outstanding waffles created with different flavors no less. There is no other restaurant like this one. It fills a great void in the culinary tapestry that exists in the Lehigh Valley.The restaurant is located in an out of the way plaza in Forks on Sullivan Trail. The food is simply delicious. Finally, whatever you order, you will not be disappointed!

This food was by far the best soul food I have ever had! The prices were high but once I saw the portion size the price was well worth every cent! This place is the real deal and worth checking out!

Can't rate service or atmosphere, food was picked up. That being said, on the day I ordered 4 orders of Chicken and Waffles one with a side fries, two large orders of slap yo mama Mac & cheese take out, I paid 104$. Every plate of the chicken was fried in bad oil (disgusting! anyone who knows what that means and what to look for will agree). Mac & Cheese nothing to rave about. It was a Thursday night about 5 o'clock it was ordered, bad night for them, maybe? Since it was my first time, I'll probably never go there again and won't recommend the place to anyone.I'm confused about all the good ratings of food in this area virtually every restaurant has almost 5 stars, is that possible? I'm not a "guide" nor a food critic, just check your chicken when you go here.

I ate here a couple of weeks back and was blown away. I saw the pictures in my camera roll and was transported back immediately and needed to give a review. Me and my girl had each gotten a platter and not 1 item wasn’t spot on. Let’s begin. I got the chicken, it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside,seasoned perfectly. Some places Mac n cheese can get a little weird on me, but once again this was a perfect balance. The collard greens were seasoned so good, they have just the right hit of heat and they were cooked just right. Sometimes I feel like I’m chewing on leaves but not here, it was on point. My girl had the whiting and was so fresh tasting, it’s like they made it tomorrow. And lastly the corn bread. It’s a hard thing to get balanced. It’s gotta be wet and dry at the same time and they did it. Place was clean and the guy that rung me out was super nice with great customer service. We will definitely be back.

The staff was super friendly, the service was extremely quick, they had great music playing, and best of all the food was amazing! I got the jumbo shrimp and fries platter, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly (something I rarely experience). The chicken and waffles were also the quintessential experience you want when you think of the dish. All-in-all this place aims to serve people great soul food and they hit that mark exactly.
