Marblehead Chowder House

Easy to find, parking could be better (but they do accommodate alot of cars). The dining room is comfortable. And the food is delicious, well worth the price. This was our first visit, and we can't wait to return!

Great chow; normally excellent wait staff. I think we had a new employee who asked me how many Oysters Rockefeller I wanted. I was surprised since I know from experience that you receive 4. She asked me if I wanted six or ten. I said six, and sure enough, 4 arrived. No big deal, really.

Food was ready in less then fifteen minute from when we ordered, which indicates reheated and not fresh food. Shrimp was rubbery

The food was delicious as always and was served relatively quickly considering that the restaurant was very busy and we were a party of five. Our server was courteous and responsive to our needs. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed and the noise level was not loud. We always have a good experience eating there.

My husband and I sat at the bar and both had a fish on the special board. Super fresh, great sides, and plenty to take home. We had great service, great drinks, and the bar never disappoints.

We did have a luncheon for my parents here and everyone raved about the food. Great, reasonable place for a group. I think we had 30 people, 1 of whom said she'll drive the 1.5 hours for the chicken pot pie!

great place for seafood....staff is friendly and professional at the same time...they take care of your every need...prices are reasonable

This is our goto and it never let's us down. The seafood is the best you will ever eat. Service is top notch.

We were surprised by the number of choices on the menu. The food was excellent. We will be dining here again shortly.

We liked everything about Marblehead!! We never make reservations but are always seated quickly. Our server (regardless of who it is) is always pleasant and helpful. Always asking how we are doing. Plus we get coupons for anniversaries and birthdays, plus I belong to the Rewards program, so we get a $20 voucher now and then. We had a coupon to celebrate our anniversary and our beautiful server wished us Happy Anniversary.

Wife and I celebrated our 59th Anniversary Sat. night ( early due to PSU White Out). seating was as requested (small & quiet area) Waiter and service was great. Food was 5Star. We unknowingly hit their " Lobsta" month celebration where they were featuring many Lobster specials. The wife was planning to have Lobster all along, however I am thoroughly a Red meat man. Saturday night I thought "what the heck I'll go with the 12oz tail." Fantastic! Possibly the best meal ever! Included Caesar salad & rice pilaf. Wife was just as pleased with hers. Add drinks before and coffee after. Just a wonderful evening ( till the end of the PSU game?) We love the Marblehead and it is our go to place for Special Events and fine dining including an occasional lunch. Highly recommend, You would be hard pressed to find a better restaurant.

This was our first time here and we love this place. The cream of crab soup was exceptional the food was very good and the service was good we will definitely be back to this place.
