I just ate here for my first time. It was absolutely fantastic, and at a reasonable price too. The staff was friendly, accurate, and put Love into their work. I highly recommend trying Marblehead Chowder House for anyone wanting a reasonably priced and wonderful meal!!!!!!!

I guess for what I was paying it's comparable to Red Lobster for the meal that I ordered. It was very slow when we got there however I believe we waited almost 45 minutes or so for our entree. I am assuming that they were attempting to time our appetizer and meal accordingly however by the time our entrees arrived neither of us were very hungry anymore to actually eat much of it. The atmosphere was nice and our waitress was very attentive and kind. We would go back but honestly it was nothing that I would race about at this point.

Went to the Marblehead to celebrate my sisters birthday. Right from the start our server Robert was welcoming and friendly. He was very attentive to ensuring we had a wonderful dining experience. My sister and I both enjoyed the quality and freshness of our meals. The Marblehead is our favorite seafood restaurant in the area. We look forward to our next dining experience.

A great find! Had passed Marblehead frequently, but never thought to stop in. My mistake. From the courteous front of the house to our server to the fabulous entrees, everything was perfect! Will definitely make it a regular go-to.

I wish I didn't know how well-rated and well-known this restaurant was.Is it the worst place I've ever eaten? No. Is it the best place? Not really. The food is alright. We've gone twice so far and likely will go again, hoping I can finally hit paydirt on the food people rave about. I've eaten the clam strips (tasteless) and the lemon salmon entree (eh). The first few bites of the salmon were good but it's just boring and uninspired. It's all passable. I am not that disappointed but I am not raving over it either. Both times, the textures of all dishes were just off: too wet (clam strips) or too dry (dishes lacking sauce; the rice with my salmon). The 4 star on atmosphere is because it is SO LOUD in here. It's difficult to have a conversation because there's no sound dampening so it sounds like a cafeteria.

Everything was delicious - Oysters & clams on 1/2 shell cold and juicy. Jambalaya was a huge portion as were scallops. Bartender was amazing! A really great Monday night dining experience

This was my 3rd visit, my husband’s 1st visit Marblehead Chowder. The seafood chowder was excellent. The problem was my entree “Baked Cod w/ Baked Potato. The cod was over baked but after a second bite the fish tasted like ammonia. I discreetly told our waiter. He immediately put in another order. He came back with my baked potato and said I could eat it while the second order cooked. After 15 minutes I told the waiter to just pack it to go. 10 minutes later it arrived I opened the take home container - the cod had the same ammonia smell. Does it not make sense to check your supply after an order comes back?
