Krums is a little old school type ice cream shop in swiss village plaza it is attached to foxs pizza. you can enter the inside of the store if you walk through the front door at foxs and walk left.You can also go to the walk up window on the deck for the outdoor experience.PENN STATE ICE CREAM!!!!! If you never had it please stop and try it, you owe it to yourself trust me. Krums staff are verry freindly and patient with the kids.

Yummy Penn state ice cream! Didn't realize I could get it near home. Excited!! The quart to-go containers we took it home in fell apart so quickly (before the ice cream was half gone). Cheaply made.

There icecream is pretty good. They have a decent selection and even icecream for your pets. It is definitely on the expensive side ,but overall pretty cool little place.

Debating what to rate this as. The ice cream is definitely just okay, and you can certainly get better almost anywhere else. I truly believe that the ones that absolutely love it are those that attended Penn State, and are rightfully tied to the sweet memories of the ice cream there. I was honestly shocked how average it is, after hearing such rave testimonies of it, and because the college is known for their renowned classes, taken by many owners of well-loved, global ice cream brands. Sadly, it just isn't there. The texture is meh, it was honestly tasteless, and the mix ins were beyond lacking, not contributing any additional flavor at all. I feel badly for saying it, but I was super underwhelmed, and I'd consider this the worst homemade ice cream from a shop that I have had. Now, that's my opinion, and it's not like it's awful, which is why I rate it as three stars. I'm sure the average person would be content. (They offer Turners soft serve during the warm months though! A+ for that!) Location, someone less miserable serving the ice cream, and abolishing the silly rule of not mixing flavors would probably help make things a little better, aside from just the ice cream itself. Otherwise, it's super cool they brought a little of the college all the way out here! Give it a shot.

My family stopped by this ice cream stand after hiking Dead Man's Hollow. Penn State Ice Cream was something that I always enjoyed as a child that grew up in Sharon, PA, since it was always a staple at the local Buhl Day celebration.The Peach Paterno has always been a favorite of mine, and Krum's Creamery delivered. The ice cream was absolutely delicious!Why only 3 stars when the ice cream is excellent? The staff was not following proper Covid-19 precautions. The girl assisting us had a face mask that was made for an incredibly large man. It hung completely off her face, exposing her nose and mouth. She asked me to move closer and to yell my order in her face since the refrigerator hum made it difficult for her to hear. I looked in the kitchen and none of the staff were wearing masks.The ice cream is so good, and I'd love to come back, but I won't support a business that doesn't teach staff to follow Allegheny County Health Department protocol.

Horrible service. The kid working the counter was more interested in getting us out of the way so she could continue talking to her boyfriend. My cone was top heavy with no ice cream in the actual cone. The cone broke and the ice cream fell on the ground. The worker’s response was “I can’t give you a free scoop,” which I didn’t even ask for. And asking for extra napkins might as well been like asking for free ice cream. We will never return to this little place.
