We have been to the new location a few times since being here, but mostly for lunch, so can't really comment on breakfast or dinner there. But we will probably try them both eventually. The first time, we weren't really impressed as the food was ehhhh, they were busy, but service was A1. I had ordered a side of pepper slaw, but could not eat it because it was frozen! Don't know what happened there...lol. We decided to give them a second chance and this time the food was much better. Another time, we ordered the chicken salad wrap and a tuna salad wrap. Our only complaint is that both had way too much mayo in the salads, which made the wraps very soggy - we almost had to eat them with a knife and fork! At a much later time, we decided to try both salads again - same results. Very disappointed. I would suggest that using much less mayo on their salads, wraps, etc., would make them so much better and less soggy/messy. But both the tuna and chicken salads were tasty. The food may not be the greatest, but IMO, it's good for a quick bite. One big plus is that the wait staff has always been polite, helpful and friendly. We will probably visit again and will definitely try other dishes, but not the tuna or chicken salads...lol.

Pass on this place. Happens all the time. Change your name. It’s specially not the special place. Honestly people around here don’t have money to spend on restaurants. But when we do we expect better. This place is hiding behind the special place name. No longer a quality home cooked place to eat. Don’t compete with the chain restaurants. Overpriced and below sub par. 15.99 for Dried out turkey and burnt filling. Gravy? Barely. And it’s from a jar. If the food is dried out and burnt maybe a full container of gravy would make this meal edible. Sorry no pictures for the pork n sauerkraut. 2 maybe 3 tablespoons of sauerkraut, 3 tablespoons of mashed potatoes and then dried out pork. Straight in the trash. Shame on this place. Close to $40-50 down the drain. And I’m expecting a sorry from the manager and please call the manager.

Came for breakfast on 3/7/24 ( my birthday ) Worst, Racism and humiliated service I experienced ever! My husband and I was the only Hispanic there and the waitress visit everyone’s table to check up on them except ours. The lady that took our order never came back not once to ask if needed anything or to refill our coffees. The pancakes were not fully cooked and when I let the lady know she didn’t even apologized or anything just gave me an lite attitude and took the plate. It’s sad how in 2024 there is people acting like this. Don’t recommend this place at all..

First visit for breakfast there with my family. The wait staff was super friendly, although our breakfast took longer than I’m used to for a diner style place. However it was worth the wait! The eggs Benedict was excellent! Only complaints besides the wait are: it’s not set up well for winter, with a cold draft every time the door opens, and way too large servings. I suppose some people like that but nobody needs a 4-egg omelette, and that’s all they have on the menu.

This is a very nice restaurant to go to for a great meal. The service is always good with quick attentive servers and they are extremely helpful when you are ordering and have questions. The food is always top notch packed with flavor and they give you plenty of options to choose from. Since they moved to there new location the restaurant has taken on a much better ambience with a quaint little roadside cafe theme with a diner style bar for extra seating. All in all this is a great place to go for a great meal.

Had Thanksgiving dinner delivered and it was delicious! Both my daughters said it was better then BGs where I have gotten it for the last 7 years !! The only negative is I wish the hot sides were packaged like the turkey and stuffing!

Went for lunch with a friend & found the atmosphere of the Special Place restaurant very cozy. Although they were busy, our waitress got right to us, as did the food! The servings were big & the homemade food was top-notch! Recommended restaurant!
