“Feeding my face at a local restaurant.I found the food really good.I found the staff very professional and knowledgeable about the food productsI found the atmosphere nice.I would rate this restaurant a 5 out of 5Now i have food for the entire day. Portions are on the big side !”
“The staff is always so friendly in there. You never have to wait long for the girls to come to your table. The food is always good. I have never been disappointed.”
“This is a great local spot. The staff is always very friendly and they typically have quick service. You can dine in (order at the counter), order take out for pick up or they offer delivery! Some of our favorite meals are the chicken bacon ranch pizza with no tomatoes, cheesesteak (their bread is delicious) & fries, and you can't go wrong with spaghetti and meatballs. Also, all of their strombolis are great the flavor in the dough is great. To top it off they have birch beer fountain soda!Parking: They have a large parking lot in the back behind the building or along the side where the main entrance is located.Kid-friendliness: My kids are so picky and they have a great selection to suit everyone's needs. Also, there are tvs inside that are great for dining out with kids.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a handicap parking spot and also it is first level accessible for wheel chairs to enter.”
“I don’t typically do reviews, but, I’ve been here a few times now and can tell you it’s delicious, prices are good, and fast service! If you live in the upper Dauphin County area, I highly recommend!! I’m super picky about Chinese food and this place didn’t disappoint!!”
“First visit for breakfast there with my family. The wait staff was super friendly, although our breakfast took longer than I’m used to for a diner style place. However it was worth the wait! The eggs Benedict was excellent! Only complaints besides the wait are: it’s not set up well for winter, with a cold draft every time the door opens, and way too large servings. I suppose some people like that but nobody needs a 4-egg omelette, and that’s all they have on the menu.”
“When I walked in I was greeted by an employee Kelly Caster who was very personable, friendly and professional! She went out of her way to make sure everything was right and did so in a very timely manner! I would highly recommend going there!”
“Friendly staff and delicious snacks. Very often the friendly people working here offer samples in the Walmart store and have coupons for purchases at Auntie Anne's. I've never gotten a bad pretzel or pretzel-dog here. Area seems clean and tidy. Conveniently located in the Sub-way store inside Walmart.”
“I like that you can get lunch during breakfast hours.... They remodeled their drive thru and their lobby...Vegetarian options: All I know that is for vegetarians is the impossible whopper it's a plant base whopper.Parking: There is extra parking in Walmart it's next to the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: It's a family atmosphere”
“I went in yesterday, Sunday, to get some pretzels and a sub. It was all delicious and the girls working I there was three young lady’s around one. One was tall, the other two were around the same height. The food was great and the customer service was great.”
“I grabbed a Big Mac on a spur of the moment... ( I dont do fast food very often)This sandwich was one of the best I've tasted or looked at. There could have been a little less sauce... but from the roll to the meat to the veggies, it was so fresh and very much enjoyed!”
“Sunday, November 5th, 7:05pmThe crew that was working tonight, was very good. Made my food on time, and everything looked/tasted great. The main thing that caught me off guard, was the person at the window who thanked me for rounding up for the charity. That was the first time, like anywhere, someone had said thank you for that.. and I donated a lot. So, that kind of made my night, and that was pretty awesome of them. (Mind, I've been to Taco Bell plenty of times before, and I almost always round up.. this was still the first instance where someone recognized that)All around, this Taco Bell has a pretty good team working there currently.”
“I walked in with an appetite and was not disappointed. The food and ice cream was amazing! My husband and I split the salmon cake and meat sampler. In the meat sampler we got the pulled chicken, chopped brisket, pulled port, sweet sausage, ribs, and breaded chicken bites. Our favorites were the salmon cake, pulled chicken with zesty white sauce, chopped brisket with hot honey garlic bbq, and the sweet sausage. Everything was so good we ended up walking out with a zesty white sauce, hot honey garlic bbq sauce, and 1/2 gallon of teaberry ice cream. I will definitely be back!”
“I don't get over this way as often (due to our insanely busy schedule, appointments, errands, etc being in completely opposite directions.) as I would like to but recently, my 17 yo daughter and I decided to stop in to try smoothies and coffee and some tasty baked goods after her guitar lessons. She volunteers at the local library every Thursday and has lessons soon after. I typically run a few quick, local errands while she's there. We are always out and about discovering new places. New farm stands, roadside stands, markets, coffee shops, and any small business that seems interesting! I didn't even realize that Hungry Time even has smoothies and everything and most definitely did not realize the extent of the flavors and combos available year round!! (That's 1 thing I felt we were lacking in this area.) I'm not a fan of the typical Starbucks, Dunkin, big corporation, flavorless, tasteless nonsense so, I will travel an hour or more to grab smoothies and breakfast sandwiches on bagels. But, now I'm aware that we can drive 15 minutes away and grab exactly what we're looking for!My daughter has lessons later in the day so we don't get to Hungry Time until 530-545 ish and they close at 6 PM so, we've been just grabbing drinks (which have been very well made every time, by the way!!) as well as some cupcakes, cookies, cake pops, and some of the best yogurt parfaits I have ever had!!I mentioned what our schedule is and where we're coming from last week and the owners said I could always call ahead and they would have whatever ready for us when we get there. (The last thing I want to do is show up 15 minutes before closing with an order.)So, we called and ordered breakfast sandwiches this after her lessons were over... YES! Breakfast IS served all day!!I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel. My daughter ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on white bread. I completely forgot about the yogurt parfaits and I am pretty upset about that lol. But, I did grab a medium, strawberry smoothies with whipped topping!! (My daughter just grabbed a lemonade today but usually grabs different flavored coffee.)The service was impeccable as always! Everyone here, especially the owners, are always super friendly, helpful, welcoming, and smiley! My smoothie was absolutely perfect, as usual.I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast sandwich and the real American cheese! That was refreshing! Everything tasted super fresh and my sandwich had the most bacon I have ever had on a breakfast sandwich before. (Including the breakfast sandwiches I make at home haha!)My daughter said that she loved her breakfast sandwich, thought the American cheese was awesome, and the sausage was really very, very good! The portion sizes were much better than average and it was great to see 4 smiley, happy, friendly people at the end of our very busy day.We ate outside in my truck and noticed the owners were leaving lol. I felt bad and quickly explained that we would be leaving asap but, the owners just smiled and said it was no big deal. I thought that was very cool of them. They never rush us and they are always very gracious.Besides the place always being super, squeaky clean and the bright eyed, cheery employees and owners, the best smoothies and yogurt parfaits, the all day breakfast is hard to beat and the freshness and quality we had today was beyond superb!!We will most definitely be back most every Thursday!!Thank you!** If my photo uploaded correctly, this is one of their yogurt parfaits!!”
“A very friendly and casual atmosphere. The service and food were very good.We spoke with the owner and decided to have our family Christmas dinner there. They agreed to accommodate our group of 50 after their normal hours on a Sunday afternoon.”
“I absolutely love this place!! There are not many options in the area and I'm so thankful for this place. They have a decent menu selection and whatever I order is always amazing. Their lattes are my favorite. They are always consistently good. The prices are all fair and the service is super quick. The drive thru is my favorite for when I'm in a rush in the morning. Pictured is a cinnamon roll with cream cheese icing and a latte ?”
“The coffee is sooooo good. If you order a specialty coffee, it's always perfectly balanced. Never overly sweet or bitter. The atmosphere is also wonderful. Love being surrounded by the plants and fountains while sipping.Seriously, not enough good things can be said about the quality of the coffee and the atmosphere. The sandwiches are decent but pricey. My only major complaint is that other than putting a syrup in something they won't really make you a coffee that isn't on the menu. Which is really odd for a fully equipped coffee shop. Luckily for me all of the stuff on the menu is excellent!”
“Lake Tobias is one of my favorite places to visit when I am in PA! Friendly staff, affordable food, and the opportunities to interact with and feed a variety of animals make this wildlife park a unique and special place. The safari bus tours are my favorite part of this park! You are able to feed a variety of bison, gazelles, emus, etc. from your seat! You can purchase either pellets, popcorn, or carrots from the park and the prices are very reasonable. Pro tip: I have found that the animals really like the carrots and the kiddos really like the popcorn. The line for the tour can be long on busy days so make sure to bring something to entertain your kids. The animals eat right from your hand, which can be overwhelming for little ones or people with sensory sensitivities. The bus drivers are very knowledgeable and provide a variety facts about the animals and the park during the tour. The petting zoo has standard goats, camels, deer, etc. Be careful with the camels, some of them like scratches but some of them do not! Make sure that you stop by and pet the baby animals that are being socialized to humans near the petting zoo! I have been able to pet a baby bison, a calf, and a bunch of baby emus that were not as soft as I thought they were going to be. The exhibits are informative and some of the animals have a lot of space. The giraffes are a really long walk from the rest of the exhibits so be prepared! There is a hiking trail that will take you to the entrance of the giraffe exhibit that has birds and a very grumpy bobcat along the way. The trail has hills and is not disability or senior friendly so keep that in mind. If you stop by at the right time, then you may have the chance to feed a giraffe some lettuce or some other snack!Speaking of snacks, the food at the concession stands are delicious and very affordable! The burgers, chicken nuggets, and hot dogs at the Grille & Grub are all reasonably priced and hit the spot after all of that walking. The ice cream portions are generous and refreshing on hot summer days. There are a lot of covered seating areas near the concessions stands and scattered around the lakes. You can bring your own food if you want but with the affordable pricing at the concession stands you don't need to.If it is hot then make sure that you visit the reptile house or the museum for some air conditioning and information. The reptile house has exhibits around the walls of the building and you may get the chance to pet a snake or an alligator! There is a small amphitheater in the middle where keepers will bring out animals and give talks throughout the day. These talks are popular so get there early if you want a seat with a good view! The museum goes through the history of the park and is a loving tribute to the founder. There is an aquarium in the museum and staff who will show you some of the antlers or horns that the animals at the park have dropped. The park is open 10am - 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 6pm on weekends from June to August with shorter hours, limited activities, and/or only open weekends in April, May, September, October, and November (see the 2023 schedule below). Check back with the park website for their updated 2024 hours but the general concepts (only open for safari drive through in April and November, only open on weekends some months, etc.) have not changed in the past 3 years that I have been visiting. If you are coming from the south and taking the 225, there is a crazy bend in the road that you really need to be careful of (see the photo below). The park is located in a rural area but there is signage as you get closer to let you know that you are going the right way. You need to go past the John Deere store to get to the entrance. Parking is always free and admission at the time of this review was $19 for anyone age 3+ and includes all of the exhibits and the safari. You can pay $10 for the exhibits alone, but I highly recommend that you add on the safari! Active duty military and veterans are free with military ID. They don't have a way to purchase ti”

“My wife and I love going here. We know the owner and his girlfriend they are great people. They have great food and ice cream. There prices are excellent. Affordable for everyone.”
“Literally the best in this area. An always changing menu and very good staff. I wasn’t expecting 5 star quisine, more like bar food. But, it was just short of a high quality restaurant. And, it’s very cheap even in todays time. I’ll take it over anything in the Tri county area.”
“Only ever get take out here when I am in the area so I can say that the pulled pork and beef are amazing and worth every penny. They have great flavor and seasoned nicely with a nice portion for a fair price. The owner is a great guy who will talk with you while he gets your order ready and make you feel that he truly is grateful for your business.”
“The members of Lykens Fire Company are like Brothers and Sisters in the Fire Service. They are very friendly and willing to do whatever they can for their community and surrounding area.”
“I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase a bottle of their delicious peach sangria at the Orwigsburg Farmer's Market. I look forward to trying some of their other selections as well.”
“I absolutely love this place! I have told all my friends and family about it. The food is delicious, the service is amazing, and I love the overall look of this restaurant. 10/10, I absolutely recommend!”
“Small town eatery that you would easily pass by on 11/15, but like all small town places, the food is great, home-cooked, and reasonably priced. Try one of their burgers!”
“This place is the greatest! I eat here all the time and I brag about it to others. The girl who answers the phone is a complete sweetheart and so nice and great with the customers. I can’t get enough of this place. Thank you all locations for your amazing hospitality and cleanliness big hugs to all of you!!!!!!”
“*Update* got a burger tonight. Somehow better than last night. What a great burger. In town for business. Staying up at the lodge. Decided to grab their burger and fries.Very delicious. Its a Good, juicy and flavorful burger. I'm actually going to reorder tonight.”
“The food was good. We ordered pizza there, could of used a little more toppings but other than that it was a great place. I'd like to go back and dine in next time.”
“During a recent adventure, we stumbled upon the Carsonville Hotel, a delightful find that we discovered through Facebook. The allure of their seafood Bloody Mary special was too tempting to resist, and it certainly did not disappoint. As we perused the menu, the buffalo chicken nachos caught our eye, and what a fantastic choice they were! Each bite was a perfect harmony of flavors, leaving us thoroughly impressed and eager for more. But the true star of the show was the Thin Mint Cheesecake. It was nothing short of fabulous, a dessert that managed to be both refreshingly minty and decadently creamy all at once. The Carsonville Hotel has etched a special place in our hearts, and we're already looking forward to our next visit. For anyone who finds themselves in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by—you won't regret it!”
“This is the best place to eat!! Cheesesteaks are the best but all other sandwiches & salads are great to!! Besides their deli & homemade donuts & cakes!! Everything is awesome in this little hometown store!! Stop in check them out!!”
