Excellent restaurant to enjoy a delicious asian meal for any occasion. Either by yourself or as a family or a business meeting the Staff is very friendly and will greet you with a smile. I was impressed with their service although it was close time, we weren’t done with our food yet and they very patiently waited for us to finish. I really appreciate the fact they they didn’t rush us off.
We will definitely return as a family.

my wife enjoyed the rice so much. And the fried salmon was fried perfectly golden

My Two Cents

The restaurant was packed when we arrived, and the staff was polite and accommodating. However, compared to our previous visit, this experience turned out to be just okay.

We ordered several dishes to share, but unfortunately the food did not seem as flavorful or fresh as it had been the last time. While the restaurant seems to have great reviews, I feel many people may be going mainly for the sushi, which does seem to be their strong point. The other basic curry dishes we tried were not impressive.

The red and green curries we ordered were bland and quite lacking in flavor. The chicken in the red curry was especially disappointing, as it was very tough and completely tasteless, almost as if it had been pre-cooked or frozen and then microwaved before being added to the curry. We also requested broccoli in one dish and asked for no cabbage. The server wrote it down, yet the dish did not come out that way. We asked for brown rice, and they did not have that either. The mango salad used to come with cashews and all mango, and now it was with peanuts, with a little bit of mango over a lot of lettuce, and very salty. We also clearly mentioned that one of our guests was vegetarian, yet the server did not thinking to ask us whether we wanted to omit fish sauce from the mango salad. We found out after tasting, that there was fish sauce in it.

The service was polite, but I do think the staff could use some more training in anticipating customers' basic needs. They should know that when guests are sharing multiple dishes, they should be given serving spoons and extra plates. We had to ask for the spoons and plates. We also had to ask for straws, napkins, and chopsticks. Surprisingly, we were told they had run out of chopsticks, which was unexpected and unusual at an Asian/sushi restaurant. We noticed several people eating sushi with their fingers, us included. The sushi by the way, was very good!

After finishing our meal, we had to ask for a bag for leftovers, and we waited at least 20 minutes before receiving the check, even though we could see our server behind the desk just leisurely chatting with the other server, while she wiped place mats.

Overall, we were unfortunately not impressed this time. The staff was kind, but the food and service details did not meet expectations. We would come back for sushi, but not anything else.

A phenomenal, and largely scratch kitchen restaurant. The owner will happily accommodate you with off menu Sushi upon request, and is also known from time to time to surprise customers with a complimentary item in gratitude of their patronage. I've been both on the receiving end, as well as have watched others enjoy the same as well. Good show, sir, good show! Their sushi and sashimi is great, the Burmese, Thai, Chinese and Korean as well. Please note, they make their own kimchi. The bibimbap and kimchi noodle is worth your time and money to try in my opinion. Their soups are also very good.

My husband and I stopped in for dinner on Friday and boy were they packed. The staff worked hard to keep things moving and surprisingly we got seated pretty quickly. Between take out and a packed restaurant, the sushi chefs worked their butts off to keep up. When we got our food everything looked and tasted delicious, not at all rushed or sloppy. It was totally worth the wait, next time we'll try to beat the rush!

This was my first visit to Hills To Sea.
I was with a group of 6.

The server was friendly and prompt. Got us cold bottled water and didn't take too long to come back and take our orders. The place had a fair amount of patrons and the service was still fast.

The food was really good amd this spot will be my suggested go-to for Asian food in the Ephrata area.

I got the sushi platter. The presentation was beautiful! The sushi was nice and fresh. This restaurant frequently posts photos of their food. They present it to you how their social media photos are presented. It's very beautiful and appealing when the plate comes to the table looking like artwork. An example is they formed an orange into a teddy bear on my sushi plate with orange primes cut up inside the bears body. I wish I got a photo because it was so well done.

I had the opportunity to try the Pineapple fried rice and Pad See Ew which were both very good and future meals I plan to order. The Chicken Satay was also very good with my only thought that it was missing that slight smokiness you get from cooking over coals. NOT A COMPLAINT AT ALL.

As we dined the restaurant really filled up, with just about every table full by the time we left. At one point during our meals a gentleman who I would assume was a manager or owner stopped by the table just to see how everything was. No complaints.

Overall it was an impressive meal that stood out as one of the better Asian cuisine joints in Ephrata. I'd certainly go back or order takeout from Hill To Sea.

I would also give this place a 10 if I could! Fantastic drunken noodles with good spice levels. The best sushi I ever had. Then the owner came out and asked how it was, which we said it was phenomenal. After we paid, he went back and gave us a free mango sticky rice which we love! It was a great experience with friendly staff and customers.

I have a severe shellfish allergy and asked if the wontons had shrimp in them and was assured they were just pork. It wasn’t until I started eating it that the waiter decided to actually check with someone to find out they have shrimp in them. There was zero apology or acknowledgement from anyone in the restaurant after this incident. Luckily I spit it out and instead of having to go to the emergency room, I just had a swollen mouth and hives. Items that contain a high allergen item should be properly labeled and people in the food service industry should check on ingredients if they aren’t sure when asked a question.
