My wife and I came here for our wedding anniversary. After years of driving past Bar Ronin and sleeping on it, we’re here to officially say to the staff and chefs: We’re sorry.
We’re sorry we didn’t know it was possible to be transported to a completely different city. We’re sorry we didn’t know Japanese whiskey could be this smooth and perfect. We’d never had wagyu steak overnighted from Japan. And we certainly had never experienced anything as outrageously perfect as the Lucy Burger.
(Which, frankly, deserves its own review—but in the interest of character limits, I’ll just say this: it’s the best burger in town. It has no business being as good as it is.)
Nate, our server, made the whole night unforgettable. Thanks for creating a culinary experience that knocked us sideways. Congrats to everyone involved.

Honest Review!!! I usually will never write out a review past this point but man does this place deserve every word in this. Outstanding place to eat. Seeing someone give this 1 star is laughable. You 100% get what you pay for. The portions are great. My wife and I ordered 2 apps 2 entrees and 2 sides. Along with 3 total drinks and the bill was no different than any other restaurant in Erie. The waitress was very informative, knowledgeable, and extremely kind. They were busy but everyone seems excited to be working. We chose to sit at the kitchen bar which was honestly an amazing choice. (Warning: it does get warm) I’ve lived in bigger cities and this definitely gives you big city vibes. The Atmosphere was awesome! We left full, but also knowing we would for sure be back! Are new top restaurant in Erie PA

GREAT service and excellent space. We enjoyed 5 items off the menu and 2 cocktails. We found everything to be very rich in flavor and reasonably priced.
We started with the shishitos ($9), 4oz of wagyu ($48), and fried chicken karaage ($9). Shishitos were perfect. Wagyu was served beautifully on a hot stone.
The chicken karaage came with kewpie style sauce. It needed something though. Not sure if the marinade just wasn't coming through for me, but I felt like it needed a pickled veggie or cabbage.
I had the imperial beef short rib ($36) for my main which was served with sliced snap peas. I highly recommend! However, had the server not mentioned to add an order of sticky rice ($3.50) the dish would have felt very incomplete.
My partner ordered the XO Noodles ($16) which again, very rich and delicious. Overall I enjoyed the meal and would eat here again.

We wanted to experience something different and new during our first trip to Erie, and bar Rōnin delivered! It was a magical dinner that we will remember always. The food and the service were 10/10. We will definitely make more trips to return! Thank you for the birthday wishes and to our server who was on top of everything with a smile on his face! The cocktails looked so fun, I look forward to trying one when I’m no longer pregnant. My husband and I shared fried chicken karaage, imperial beef short rib w/japanese sticky rice, the AMAZING wagyu steak on a plate, the Lucy burger, chicken salt pomme frites, and cherry blossom panna cotta. Truly mind blowing, great flavors, great texture and execution. I can’t praise this place enough. :)

This is my favorite restaurant by far. We’ve been there 3-4 times and so far every experience has been 10/10. The food is incredible. Unique menu, fun atmosphere, perfect portions. Great dining experience! Definitely our go-to date night restaurant.

Our dinner at Bar Ronin this week was excellent! The drinks and food were delicious. Upscale atmosphere. The whole dinner felt like a treat. Our server was kind and attentive. They were easily able to accommodate my friend’s gluten allergy. Our server even ran out to catch up to us when I forgot my present at the table. Overall, a real treat for a night out!

Food was...ok. seem like a long wait from appetizer to meal. Server was...eh. she focused more on 1 specific person at the table. music was very loud. Seemed like everyone was yelling. Definitely not what I was expecting. Seems geared toward a younger crowd.
