“So we had a 8:30 reservation and they were semi busy but only had a 5 minute wait , that was great.First the positives … the food was great , all of it . The seafood medley I highly recommend.The sunset made for an awesome show and lasting atmosphere. The table we were sat in although a great view was by the sever station and repeatedly my chair was kicked or bumped by passing servers, and not one excuse me or apology. Upon Delivering our order one of the lobster tails fell off the plate to the floor while the server was attempting to place the plate. We had to wait an additional 8 minutes for another. This wasn’t a huge deal but it disrupted a very expensive meal and I expect better . I also will point out during the 1.5 hour stay our water was never once filled nor were we asked . Again I expect better from a $240 experience!!! The waiter also brought the bday candle then stated he was staying to make sure no one was burned , we witnessed this from no one else . Weird !!! We were given 2 deserts for the lobster issue and that was good business , so overall a decent experience the food and atmosphere made up for the sub par service !”

I was literally the only one in their once and the waitress starts running the vacuum right at my table as soon as I get served food, and the floor was already spotless. for the prices they need to work on ambiance and over all customer service.”

There is often a line due to high demand but don’t be discouraged! It moves quickly. All of their pastries and pretzel rolls are delicious. 😋”

“So I am posting this from the 4th of the july weekend, specifically last Sunday, when I was in Pittsburgh visiting my best friend and her family! We went for lunch, and I got the blackened chicken sandwich and fruit. Everything was delicious! The fruit cup was fresh, including the melon (which I am not typically a fan of). I guess my only little complaint would be the portion size for the fruit could have been a little bigger than what you would get with fries, I feel like but it wasn't enough to make me knock the review down.
Our waiter (younger gentleman) was super attentive, gave us suggestions, and constantly refilled our drinks, and overall had a great experience. I kept telling my bestie we needed to go again the next time I'm up for happy hour because it felt like such a good spot for that, with the rooftop outside dining area.”

The interior isn't too much to look at, but they're so nicely priced Idont think it matters too much! Paid 40 bucks for 6 items, all almost full meals or had plenty of food in each container! “We have been going to Nostrovia since they opened, and we make it a point to go at least 2-3 times a month. The beer list is changing out frequently and always has an option for everybody. Not a beer drinker, no worries because there are options for the non-beer drinkers as well. They always have a cider on tap, frozen drinks in the summer, a mule (compliments of luminary) and sometimes a seltzer is available too. The food is simple, but the taste is incredible! We have never been disappointed here. Not to mention the staff have always been extremely kind and gracious to their guests. Thank you to catering to those of us who come with kiddos with the “busy bee” kits and hot dog meals!! This is beyond appreciated from 2 parents who still want to come and enjoy the place with our 2 year old! Cannot recommend this quaint little brewery enough!”

“On a Friday evening at approximately 7 PM, my wife and I went to Colao’s Restaurant with our 3 month old daughter. Our baby did not make a peep the entire time we went in to get a table. The hostess, who was exceptionally unsympathetic and rude, said she didn’t believe they could make any accommodation for our very compact stroller. She checked to see if she could stuff us in the back corner and when she was unable to she told us she had no room for us that evening. She didn’t even offer a possible wait time! As a side note there were several open tables available at the time we were standing there and they were allegedly reserved. I have a very difficult time believing they were unable to find a spot for two people and a very compact stroller the remainder of the entire evening. Apparently the “Italian” family restaurant I remembered was no longer very family oriented if there was potential to disturb the ambiance for their elegant clientele. Anyways, we called Ricardo’s and they accepted us with open arms! The atmosphere was much more welcoming and family oriented as we prefer and the staff was extremely pleasant and kind. The portions were larger and in my opinion much better for a more modest price. So if you feel like dining Italian in Erie, I would highly recommend Ricardo’s.”

“First off this place is neat. Being run inside an old train station is just something you don’t see and makes it so much “warmer” inside. We had some of the craft sodas which were good, and for food we had the fried pierogis, The Pittsburger and The Train Wreck. The pierogis were good, the burger was really good, but the Train Wreck was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’d drive 500 miles to eat this sandwich again. The fries were really good and all off us were stuffed. If I ever come through Erie again this is the first place I’m stopping.”

“My husband and I enjoyed our Valentine's dinner one day early at the 814 Chophouse and we were very pleased. We used our Erie Fine Dining card. Our food was delicious including shrimp cocktail, Tuscan bread with wonderfully infused olive oil, Caesar salad with anchovies, and a wonderful Spanish red wine Campo Viejo Tempranillo suggested by our professional and knowledgeable head server who truly has a passion for her craft. My husband had a perfectly prepared steak with a 1/2 bulb of garlic & baked potato and I had their artfully prepared salmon with spinach in a delectably seasoned broth with a little extra drizzle of garlic and lemon flavor. Dessert was dark choc. ice cream for him and peanut butter pie for me with French pressed coffee to complete our truly wonderful evening. We shared our appreciation and compliments with our server and their chef. We are so glad they have retained the "Hunt Room" atmosphere of old - very fine dining in our opinion. AAA+ If they could clone our server and increase their staff it would be perfect. We started out with cocktails at the bar in Bolero's. Would love to hear some Latin guitar music live by Julio Quezada or Mambo in the future or even recorded - to add to a truly enjoyable evening. We got to try a brand new cocktail created by our Chophouse server - an Elderflower Fizz - delicious and topped off with a splash of Spumante. Not an inexpensive evening but worth every penny in our opinion.”

“I dropped in for an early dinner and sat at the bar. First, I love a bar with hooks for your purse and a foot rest so your legs don’t go numb. Second, service is fantastic. All the White Buffalo staff take care of you. If they notice your drink is low, they ask if you want another. They check if your order is correct and if you need anything else. All the staff care, not just an assigned server. Few places run this way. I got a salad with hot wing sauced chicken and steamed vegetables – brilliant idea. You don’t need dressing, because the sauce is the dressing. I loved that you have an option of grilled or fried chicken. The kitchen staff has chicken down – moist, not over cooked. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that the salad greens were mixed greens – not plain iceburg. It was wing night, so many around me were eating wings – they serve the biggest wings I have seen. The White Buffalo has many wing flavors and from what I saw, cook to order. Sitting at the bar, I could also see they offer lots of liquor options. I enjoy trying new brands and flavors, this bar does not disappoint. They also have some fun top shelf sippers. Looking forward to returning and trying some new treats.”

Then TODAY exactly one month later, I had a craving for their cannoli’s, the best in town in my opinion. We get there and there is one small one left in the case. Upon seeing my disappointment another young woman asked me how many I wanted and offered to make some large ones fresh for me on the spot. This place not only has the best baked goods, but stellar customer service! I will forever be loyal to Art’s!
