Sara's Restaurant Reviews
Used to be a phenomenal place with great food. Every year, it goes downhill more and more. Just stopped for our first time for the 2026 season. Foot-long hot dog with a stale bun that was basically inedible. Onion rings used to be fresh and awesome. Now they are basically all coating and right out of a box. Will definitely return for ice cream, but the food is just super disappointing anymore.
unfortunately, Sara's keeps on disappointing me. Sara's Restaurant serves delicious treats like orange vanilla twist sherbet ice cream, salted caramel and peanut butter milkshakes, along with classic fare like burgers, hot dogs, fries, and onion rings. This Erie staple is located at the entrance of Presque Isle State Park and is just what one needs after a day at the beach. The restaurant has a cute interior and a fun, eclectic vibe that many customers love. It features plenty of outdoor seating where visitors can enjoy beautiful sunset views and listen to the sounds from nearby Waldameer. While some customers have noted no real inside seating, which can be uncomfortable when it’s windy, the atmosphere remains enjoyable. The food is tasty, with popular choices like the cheeseburger and fries, and the chocolate sundae is a great treat on a hot summer day. Although the parking lot can be cramped and the place gets busy during peak hours, it is a classic diner that brings back wonderful memories for many.
