“I went on a Sunday during a trip to Erie because this restaurant came recommended from several web searches and I was not disappointed. I went with my wife and two teenaged daughters. We had a BBQ chicken pizza, a burrito, and a chicken cordon bleu wrap. We all enjoyed our food. Beware that the most convenient parking is along the street (I have no problem with that but some may have difficulty). There is plenty of room to eat inside. I recommend it.“

“My husband and I come to Applebee's fairly regularly, and there is a reason for that. We've never been let down by the food we have ordered. The people who work there always give their best. Our food always comes in a timely manner, and the workers are attentive, but not too attentive.“

“Had just rolled into town, checked into our hotel, and headed out for a bite to eat. We were going to hit one of the local chain restaurants when we spotted Max and Erma's. It was late so we didn't want anything heavy. There were lots of great salad options available. My wife ordered the Santa Fe salad, and I ordered the Avocado Cobb. My salad was fresh and delicious, and the chicken was tender and well seasoned. The wife felt that her chicken was slightly overcooked. We both felt that the salad would have benefitted from a black bean and corn salsa if it's going to be called a Santa Fe salad. Simply adding tortilla strips and calling it a Santa Fe salad is a stretch. My wife enjoyed her blackberry sangria, but she and I have different tastes in wines. To me, it tasted like equal parts, wine, and sugar. Way too sweet for my taste.
Our waiter, Tom, spotted my Coast Guard retiree hat and offered to discount our bill. His attention to our dining experience was appreciated.“

“Total disaster today. Waited over 15 minutes just for a drink. Half of a club sandwich fit easily in the palm of my hand. Liked like someone say on the bread and made it the smallest size possible! Server was stretched to her limits. Was going to get breakfast buffet but it was empty and started that way for more than 20 minutes. Very disappointing.“

“I SAID DO NOT RECOMMEND and it was changed! We had a group of 6 women here for a work conference. This was my third stay at this hotel which itself is beautiful. However, lastnight a male "hotel staff member" with no warning, no call, no knock attempted to enter one of the ladies' room (not once but) twice at approximately 10:30pm. This man was adamant that he must come in and have my friend's ID and credit card. CLEARLY the hotel already had this information on file as her very uniquely spelled name had been displayed on the the television "sleep screen" and her card has the "hold charge for incidentals". So what was he really doing there late at night? GREAT QUESTION!!!! One that has yet to be answered as the desk staff last night ignored her call for help, the manager, General manager everyone thus far that has been spoken to has not taken her fear or safety seriously!!!! THERE IS NEVER ANY AN APPROPRIATE TIME FOR A MALE HOTEL EMPLOYEE TO ATTEMPT TO GAIN ENTRANCE TO A FEMALE GUEST ROOM, UNINVITED, UNANNOUNCED, WITHOUT CALL, WITHOUT KNOCKING AND WITHOUT CAUSE!!!! This is a very serious issue!!! Thanks to a handful of bad staff or very obviously poor policies you've destroyed all sense of safety I once felt staying there.“

“Applebee's is five stars - not because it's 5 star dining, but because it's consistent, fast, and relatively inexpensive... Wednesdays kids eat free!!! Update: Just went again for Kids night. For what it's worth, the wait staff probably isn't crazy about a table full of kids, but the fine young lady that helped us out today got back pretty much all of what we saved in a tip. Take care of people that take care of you! Just because the food is "free" doesn't mean the wait staff gets stiffed on tip...“

“On our tour of America we came to this steakhouse because of the good reviews, which were confirmed. At first there was a 25 minute wait. Then the 4 of us got a table after just 5 minutes. Great atmosphere, not too loud. The waitress was friendly, but she could have guided us, not quite "steak-savvy Germans", through the extensive menu. The food was very tasty, freshly prepared and the price-performance ratio was more than good.

“I ordered the Diamond steak 10oz takeout medium-rare and I have to say it is hands-down one of the best in the Erie PA area. It was as tender and flavorful as a filet and would highly recommend. I wished I had another for a reasonable $20 with mashed & a tossed salad.

“The duck wing appetizer was very tasty wish they had a sweet and sour sauce option for the wings but the but the butter and garlic was really good too. My wife had the chicken pomodori which she enjoyed and I had the Cubano which was good but for my taste there was a bit much mustard which took away from the smoked pork loin flavor. Our server was very nice and quick with our order and always polite. The only thing I could say it the seating was a bit tight just to close quarters for me being next to other tables just felt like we were eating with the other tables.“

A wonderful get together for people to catch up with old friends and make new ones. I have had several parties at the colony. The folks at the colony are so wonderful to work with and the food was complimented by many in attendance. Everyone commented on the event and the colony. “Their tables but two were filled up and they were there to help upon coming to the outside tables etc..I asked for a ice water and she first brought two..there was only one girl waiting on tables and I was very happy to be taken care of and I ordered a delicious chefs salad and you may think a salad is easy but I took my first bite and the ranch dressing to the various items in it..wow I'm a man that's very particular but every place I ordered wasn't attentive to the customer and I found a place that bar none..I had not one thing to say..ty you miss lady who waited on us today .from the beautiful view to the service and food .ty you who prepared our chess salads and most importantly...the hustle to the standards and qualities .. I give 10 stars for what's seldom see ...the best view,service,food and the waitress was above going out of their way! Great job people..
