“Went in for brunch today with a group of 25 people (day after wedding brunch). We made a reservation, got there and everything was good to go. Our server was amazing. Got everyone’s drink and food orders quickly and accurately. Food was out in no time. Several employees helped run all the food out and was great to see teamwork like that. All the drinks and food were great and made correctly. Price was very reasonable. I never expect things to be perfect when going somewhere with a group that size because it’s a lot of stress added to an already busy place, but they definitely were more than capable and knocked it out of the park. “Rum Runner is located right by Lake Erie, making it a perfect spot to watch the sunset while enjoying your food and drinks.

Everything we tried today was delicious. All the fried seafood was fresh and came with three sauces (my favorite is the cold sweet sauce). The burger was juicy and well-seasoned.
I really love their special cocktails—my go-tos are the Passion Colada and the Rum Runner. Both drinks are refreshing and perfect for summer.

The staff is friendly and welcoming.

“Our All School Class Reunion was held at the Colony Banquet Hall this past weekend. Everything was perfect - the Hall can accommodate so many people comfortably, and the wait staff was top notch! They were quick to service the tables, bring whatever was needed, and kind and polite as well! The food was great too! I would definitely recommend the Colony for any of your catering needs!! I got the Cubano sandwich inspired pizza and a pepperoni for a back up.
With arrived at a good time and was fresh from the oven. The flavor was so good and the Cubano was a hit!

Even my 2 toddlers ate their pizza instead of playing with it.

“We had an Event in the Ballroom on Friday. Julio could not have been more helpful, very easy to work with. He had wonderful suggestions, too. The atmosphere was fabulous, we hired Ed Koscelek for uplights to create an even more beautiful ambience for our 200 attendees. The food was delicious and the service excellent! “First off this place is neat. Being run inside an old train station is just something you don’t see and makes it so much “warmer” inside. We had some of the craft sodas which were good, and for food we had the fried pierogis, The Pittsburger and The Train Wreck. The pierogis were good, the burger was really good, but the Train Wreck was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’d drive 500 miles to eat this sandwich again. The fries were really good and all off us were stuffed. If I ever come through Erie again this is the first place I’m stopping.“

I hope you get more servers like the first one. (Just as descriptors, the rude girl was early 20's, very thin, the awesome server was later 20's, maybe early 30's and thicker). Food was on point. “We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at the Sloppy Duck in October. We had the private room upstairs for our buffet styled dinner and drinks with a beautiful view of the bayfront. The owner and staff were very accommodating and the service was delightful. To end the night, we went to the bar area for karaoke and everyone had a blast. “We as a group of 11 came in over about a half hour waiting for the my daughter that ran the marathon. The gal serving us was sweet, she handled 6 different checks with one holding the wings for all. She had the cutest smile. It’s nice to see a person having fun while they do their job. Towards the end of our long stay I told her she did a great job and thanked her. I asked her name and she said Lexi. I felt like I met a friend as she smiled a huge smile so I threw her a kiss, she threw one back. Then she said thank you so much as she was scared as her first huge table. Boss man, hear me. Lexi is a charm. You treat her good and I’m sure she’ll have people coming back to get her smile and great service. When I come from Jamestown way for doctors visit, we will ge back.
