“I’m not a Mexican food fan and it was my first time in this restaurant. I was pleased with the food and definitely the service. We were there celebrating my granddaughter in law’s birthday and it happened to be Cinco de Mayo day! Even with how busy they were, they were pleasant and helpful! I’m a senior and definitely enjoyed my visit. I hope to make it again sometime. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the waitress’s name but she was very friendly and helpful.“

“Went in for brunch today with a group of 25 people (day after wedding brunch). We made a reservation, got there and everything was good to go. Our server was amazing. Got everyone’s drink and food orders quickly and accurately. Food was out in no time. Several employees helped run all the food out and was great to see teamwork like that. All the drinks and food were great and made correctly. Price was very reasonable. I never expect things to be perfect when going somewhere with a group that size because it’s a lot of stress added to an already busy place, but they definitely were more than capable and knocked it out of the park. Super effective cost wise. The food is to die for. And the space speaks for itself and lends itself to any occasion. Big or small they have a great staff of people working for them and a lovely space to hold any event.“

“I was traveling from out of state and decided to stop by Rum Runners after finding it on Google. It was around 11 PM, and when I asked what time they closed, they told me around midnight, but they also said they often stay open later if people are still enjoying themselves. The bartender was very friendly, welcoming, and provided great service.

The location right on the Erie Bayfront is beautiful, especially at night. The atmosphere is relaxed, the prices are reasonable, and it’s a great place to grab a drink and enjoy the view. I didn’t try the food, so I can’t comment on that, but based on my experience I’ll definitely come back. Every time I’m in Erie—which is a few times a year—Rum Runners will be one of my go-to spots.“

“Went out to eat here recently. I lived around the corner for a couple of years and never stopped in. Honestly, nothing really drew me in, and now I’m disappointed in myself for not trying it sooner.

The food was delicious! We ordered the pizza logs, cheese bread, a pizza, and a Stromboli. Yes, we were extremely hungry, but everything was fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth it.

Our waitress, Rebecca, was very kind, friendly, and prompt with service. The only minor thing I noticed was that she didn’t check back for drink refills, and our glasses stayed empty for a while. That said, it wasn’t enough to affect the tip we left because she was otherwise great.

Overall, it was a very good experience. The pizza was excellent, the food came out quickly, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. I’ll certainly be back.“

With arrived at a good time and was fresh from the oven. The flavor was so good and the Cubano was a hit!

Even my 2 toddlers ate their pizza instead of playing with it.

“We had an Event in the Ballroom on Friday. Julio could not have been more helpful, very easy to work with. He had wonderful suggestions, too. The atmosphere was fabulous, we hired Ed Koscelek for uplights to create an even more beautiful ambience for our 200 attendees. The food was delicious and the service excellent! “Was reccomended by multiple people as a must stop while on vacation and it did not disappoint! We needed a late night dinner after our sunset cruise and everything was fantastic! The Elotes dip was a great starter and the peach and prosciutto flatbread was our favorite dinner (we ate it so fast we forgot to snap a pic). Carbonara pizza was the second best.“

“First off this place is neat. Being run inside an old train station is just something you don’t see and makes it so much “warmer” inside. We had some of the craft sodas which were good, and for food we had the fried pierogis, The Pittsburger and The Train Wreck. The pierogis were good, the burger was really good, but the Train Wreck was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’d drive 500 miles to eat this sandwich again. The fries were really good and all off us were stuffed. If I ever come through Erie again this is the first place I’m stopping.“

“We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at the Sloppy Duck in October. We had the private room upstairs for our buffet styled dinner and drinks with a beautiful view of the bayfront. The owner and staff were very accommodating and the service was delightful. To end the night, we went to the bar area for karaoke and everyone had a blast.
