“I have been to the new location (5th and Cherry) twice since it opened and both times the food has been amazing. Staff are friendly and it’s such a cozy environment. There is often a line due to high demand but don’t be discouraged! It moves quickly. All of their pastries and pretzel rolls are delicious. 😋“

“On New Year’s Eve, my son’s birthday, he wanted chocolate cake with chocolate frosting from Art’s, a case regular. We walked in, it was pretty busy, and unfortunately they didn’t have any left. The kind young lady behind the counter offered to scrape a chocolate with white frosting one and refrost it with chocolate for him. Very sweet. Then TODAY exactly one month later, I had a craving for their cannoli’s, the best in town in my opinion. We get there and there is one small one left in the case. Upon seeing my disappointment another young woman asked me how many I wanted and offered to make some large ones fresh for me on the spot. This place not only has the best baked goods, but stellar customer service! I will forever be loyal to Art’s! This all happened at the West Erie location and I am super impressed with their consistent service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Bill's Bakery has an assortment of Italian bread sliced or unsliced, pepperoni rolls, pepperoni rings and dinner rolls etc., it's not an eatery, the proprietors are very friendly and always have a smile, the breads are delicious, the best. Going there reminds me of the days when the Balkan Bakery was open in my old neighborhood, when you walk in the door it smells so good, it brings back great memories. If you haven't tried Bill's I highly recommend it.“

“NOT just breads, here. Snack cakes, doughnuts 🍩, Slim Jim's, chips, mini and full sized pies in EVERY fruit flavor, small novelty gum packs, so many choices, so little time!! And, they accept EBT as payment as well as cash, credit or debit cards, too!!

I actually 'spoiled' my dad by getting every mini fruit pie they had out 🥧, and even a few of the JJ's, prepackaged pies, because he really enjoys them!! Just my small way to give back and to express gratitude for being a work-driven parent, growing up!!“

GOOD: That nostalgic 1980's diner fun, excellent service and good diner options

BAD: Nothing much, the prices are decent but the portions were unexpectedly small. I didn't leave hungry but I almost always take left overs.

I had not eaten in a Perkins restaurant since the mid to late 1980s. I thought the chain was gone to the wind - and they are in Eastern Maryland. Apparently, is alive and well in many other areas.

My skillet and pie were excellent, just on the smaller side. The service was excellent. I highly recommend pie and coffee if you get and entree. It's a 5.99 combo deal and great value. - and they are in Eastern PA and Maryland. Apparently, it is alive and well in many other areas.

“Shawn and the team at Bake Your Day helped us celebrate my daughter’s bridal shower with a cake that was not only delicious, but also delicately made to look like a vintage recipe card for her “Recipe For Love” theme. “Their sub roll may be the best sub roll I've ever had. We got a Ham, salami, and pepperoni sub with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and banana peppers. I wish they had onions, because that would have topped it off perfectly. The young lady who made our sub was so nice. The sub was exactly what I wanted, and we grabbed a slice of pizza too, which was great. I'm sure they make their own crust as well. I'll definitely go back there when the time presents itself. It is take out only, just so you know.“

“Post 2020, what a world, Perkins is like Mom's lemon merengue pie available by the slice. The problem is, in post 2020 world inflation and costs have gone crazy. Perkins is an amazing place, still serving breakfast any time of the day, however it is now nearly 50 out the door for two on two breakfast entrees a side of sausage and a drink. The food is consistent and comes as ordered and always tasty. The bill now reflects entrees at a 300% increase from 2020, definitely puts a bit of a bad taste in your mouth.“

“Went in for brunch today with a group of 25 people (day after wedding brunch). We made a reservation, got there and everything was good to go. Our server was amazing. Got everyone’s drink and food orders quickly and accurately. Food was out in no time. Several employees helped run all the food out and was great to see teamwork like that. All the drinks and food were great and made correctly. Price was very reasonable. I never expect things to be perfect when going somewhere with a group that size because it’s a lot of stress added to an already busy place, but they definitely were more than capable and knocked it out of the park.
