My wife and I dined at Bistro 26 for the first time on July 31. It was a great experience! Our server, Laurin, was friendly and knowledgeable and helped us make choices that were right for us. We started out with the bacon-wrapped scallop appetizer; the scallops were done perfectly, and the sriracha sauce added just the right amount of zing. We both had salads, nicely proportioned, with a slice of excellent bread. My wife had the pan seared bronzini, which was done perfectly. I had the filet mignonette au poivre, with sides of broccoli and gnocchi. I don’t think I actually needed a steak knife for the filet; it was tender, cooked to order, and the au poivre sauce was delicious. Also worth noting is that the broccoli was delicious: cooked, but still tender. We finished with the creme brulee. We moved to Erie two years ago, we eat out a fair amount and this was as good a meal we’ve had since we moved here. Well done, Bisto 26. We’ll be back!

My new favorite! From the 8x filtered water, the ‘scratch kitchen’ made food and drinks, and excellent service! Thank you Ray for your recommendations. The shrimp and scallops risotto, red snapper and strawberry shortcake were all exquisite. Can’t wait to be back!

I have eaten here several times and the food and service are always excellent. It is small and quaint. Parking can be a challenge on a busy evening. They have excellent steaks.

You might want to consider doing yourself a favor and getting the gnocchi as your starch. It really was excellent.

The food at Bistro 26 is consistently delicious - I've been there numerous times and everyone always leaves happy. The service is always solid, too. That vibe, tho... it's giving early 2000s New Jersey banquet hall, doing its absolute best to have you believe you're in a charming Italian village. Faux frescoes, grapevine motifs, and a deep commitment to Tuscan beige. But the food slaps, so who cares. Possibly the best risotto in Erie?!
