10/10 I grew up in Pittsburgh where there are several family owned Italian restaurants. This is the best thing I’ve found in Erie ! Excellent food , even better service and the atmosphere was perfect . The owners took the time to come to our table and ask about our meals and make recommendations. Can’t wait to go back !

We loved going there always had a good experience and food. But after the way the woman treated my wife then myself tonight when calling to make a reservation for six, I will never be back. I used their website " contact us " to ask for a reservation asking for confirmation. 48 hours later called back because we heard nothing. My wife was asking why they didn't respond to email and was told they don't do that and HUNG UP on my wife. She called back. Woman wouldn't answer. I called from my phone and tried to make and she accused my wife of screaming at her. I was present. OUTRIGHT LIE. KNEW SHE SCREWED UP WHEN SHE HUNG UP. Doesn't matter my money spends everywhere. Glad to hear business is so good she can offend and be rude to people. Tell KRISTA we loved seeing her each time. Zack's dad.

Had a wonderful dinner, the braised short rib was fantastic and it paired well with a special cocktail feature they had. Service was great and food was timed well between courses. Only downside is the location/parking. It's in a neighborhood and I had to walk a couple blocks to get there. Not a deal breaker for me, but just know walking may be required.

The best in REAL Italian cuisine near Lake Erie. Reasonably priced. Excellent wine selection.

Absolutely delicious! Never had a bad meal. I wish you could book reservations online though.
Good service. Decent food. A little pricey for what it is ...

Went to Colao’s for the first time last night and it was incredible!! Two of us had the braised short rib and one had the eggplant parm. All were absolutely delicious! They had a great wine selection as well. Will absolutely be back next time we are in Erie!

I remember going to Colao's 10 years ago and the food was phenomenal and memorable. A group of us went last weekend and it was mediocre and forgettable. Appetizers were average. Someone from our table sent back the crab spaghettini, it didn't taste good, we all tried it and agreed. My veal was so thin and dry as a bone but I sucked it up, I didn't want it to look like we were all complaining, my mistake. Would I go back? Probably not. The only saving grace was our server, Brian, he was so wonderful and gracious!
