Weird unfriendly atmosphere and overall an uncomfortable experience. The only positive was the waiter, who was doing his best with what he was working with. We were seated right next to the bar, despite the restaurant being largely empty. The owner walked by several times without saying hello or asking how our food was, which is okay, but not even smiling and gave the impression he didn’t care, especially when he was more than happy to talk to and check on the men at the bar. Then later he came to grab an empty plate off our table, again without even saying hello, and rudely snapped at our waiter in front of us. Some food was solid, other dishes were not great. Overall got the impression if you’re not a regular or their preferred clientele, they don’t really care to give you a decent dining experience and will be stared at like you’re intruding. Edit: forgot to add a note about the weird urine smell.

The live music is just too loud. Of course you want everyone to hear and dance and enjoy, but you cannot hear your voice when you talk.
Ordered Chicken Picatta with broccoli $23 meal super salty sauce and broccoli couldn’t eat it. We also had the walleye it was the size of anchovies, dried out and the fries were frozen.
The host and servers were extremely friendly and they I would rate 5/5 but the music volume and food overall really disappointed and will not recommend.

An Erie Native that always chooses local, but this time was terrible. Live music, very busy, but I have worked in the industry for many years, so I’m very patient! After the mistake, of an undelivered meal, they could have at least made sure I had everything I needed so I could eat it! Long wait for drinks or any kind of service, and then 1 meal not delivered! I didn’t see a manager at all, and had to ask to not pay for it?! Just terrible! Not sure why so many people still enjoy this place! 2 hours before my food was delivered! I’m not sure any excuse would be valid! I picked off of everyone else’s plate before I finally received my food. Thank goodness I was with family!

We read some of the bad reviews and probably wouldn't have visited had someone not given us a gift card to the Colony Pub. I'm SO happy we went! The food and service was FANTASTIC! I had the grilled chicken salad with a cup of their cheeseburger soup, which was off the charts! Our server was super sweet and viligent in providing amazing service. It doesn't get any better than this place. This is definitely a do-over! I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
We visited on the 4th of July, and while the crowd was quite large, I was truly impressed by the exceptional service we received. It was heartwarming to see the owner actively supporting each staff member to keep everything running smoothly. The food was absolutely delicious, and the live band added a fun and lively atmosphere. I genuinely can't express enough how wonderful this experience was; it felt like a celebration of community and hard work!

Got a Blue moon it was warm and expired. Service was slow. I had the mini surf and turf it was great, but hubby got pasta the noodles were under cooked but meatballs were good. The restaurant inside had a terrible smell. Both inside and outside bars are filled with a bunch of old people regulars you will not get a bar seat and they will stare at you like you're a parasite.

Inside and outside dining with a full menu of delicious food. I had a Lake Erie perch sandwich which was fantastic. Crispy yet tender. Servers were overwhelmed but always patient and kind. Colony is also a great location for large groups and they have spacious facilities.

We had our reunion at their banquet hall on 12th street and I was pleasantly surprised with the hall, the food is always good, and the staff was efficient. We enjoyed our Holy Rosary reunion much better in this bigger facility , thank you Joe McGill and Colony !

Our All School Class Reunion was held at the Colony Banquet Hall this past weekend. Everything was perfect - the Hall can accommodate so many people comfortably, and the wait staff was top notch! They were quick to service the tables, bring whatever was needed, and kind and polite as well! The food was great too! I would definitely recommend the Colony for any of your catering needs!! Thanks for a great reunion!!
