I am so disappointed to see how this once amazing banquet hall has fallen so far. I started working there in 2015 when Marty and Sherri owned it. I watched Brittany grow into an amazing manager and eventually take over the business. Unfortunately her soon to be husband has stepped in and ruined it from everything I have been told and have read. I worked there for 7 years, eventually working my way to manager. After a year and a half of me managing this place, we parted ways due to her then boyfriend. I see a lot of reviews specifically talking about how he is the one that deals with issues as she hides in the back, and that absolutely does not surprise me. I sincerely hope things get better, but from the sounds of it, this business is not going to survive

I hope this review serves as a WARNING for people wanting to have their reception here. Our wedding was May 4th and I hope the below helps.

Brittani is nice when you are talking with her, but the moment you leave communication is awful. She will not answer your texts or calls. As mentioned in other reviews, her father Marty no longer runs the business, so do NOT expect the same service. As another review said, we were also told that prices would go up around $2 per plate. Low and behold, prices went up $10-12 dollars a plate after she made her mind up a few months later. We were also told since we were having a buffet, that there would be no additional 20% service fee. Well (once again) a few months later, she went back on her word and told me there was a 20% service fee added on. This is quite odd considering no one was serving tables so I’m not sure how “service” is added on. We should have cancelled here.

In our first meetings, a few things were discussed. White chairs covers, ribbons for the back of each chair, and a vegetarian lasagna for my wife. All three of these things presented issues for a so-called “event organizer”. In our last meeting, after being originally promised to have chair covers, it was revealed to us that Brittani does NOT have chair covers and that it would be $5 for EACH chair, 2.50 for labor and 2.50 for rental. This came at quite the surprise, and we decided to order covers on Amazon, to not pay these people even more money. Regarding the ribbons, we bought the ribbons to tie bows on the back of each chair, which Brittani told us that she would take care of. Well the night before the wedding, as we were setting up at 11 pm (more below on that), Brittani comes out and says she does not KNOW how to tie a ribbon on a chair. LOL. After saying this, Brittani went into hiding in the back and avoided talking to anyone. As someone else mentioned, her fiancé is the one who handles the complaints and tries to act like an enforcer. Regarding the lasagna, my wife asked for a singular pan of veggie lasagna to eat at our table. After we make our grand entrance and walk back to get food, we get to the end of the line and it is not there. I ask her husband about it, to which he gives me a blank stare, just to say “oops” pretty much. He told me we would have it before we left that night. We did end up getting it, but as everyone knows you don’t make a lasagna in 4 hours so she just bought it and warmed it up. I wonder why so many comments below talk about food poisoning ?.

Brittani is spread too thin. In our meetings she told us that she is getting married herself in May, which I know is a lot of work. She is also opening a restaurant in Ohio soon, which is odd to me considering she only had about 6 employees on staff at Union Station. I also wonder if this is why she raises prices on everyone in order to fund her restaurant endeavor. On top of everything, we were originally told we could set up tables on Friday night before our wedding. A few months later we found out that Brittani had scheduled a prom until 10:30/11 pm that night. And she does not tell you these things when she does them, you have to pull this info out of her. So on top of having to put our own seat covers AND ribbons on, we had to do so with our bridal party at 11 pm the day before our wedding because of Brittani’s pursuit of any money she can get.

Last but not least, the icing on the cake, my wife and I were the last people at the reception with her sister. As we are about to leave, Brittani’s fiancé walks up and asks if we are almost done. Just to say “I’m tired and I’m ready to go”. Yeah man, I am sure you are more tired than the people who just planned a wedding and got married.

My wife and I are ones to rarely complain about bad service, or to even leave a bad review for that sake. But DO NOT have your wedding reception here. She is after your money and that is all. The venue is historic but it is NOT worth it. Brittani, I advise you to sell

Brittany is the worst person possible. This venue is a disaster and her boyfriend is a drunk. They will ruin your event and try to charge you thousands more.

Disappointing service and lack of communication from the caterers, I would avoid hosting any important events with this company

Husband got severe food poisoning from eating the steak on 4/20/24. Happy I didn’t eat there.

Had a group event here last weekend. Almost all the people who attended the event got food poisoning or some kind of sickness from eating the food. When we talked to the owner about it they told us we had an "integrity problem" and we're making it up. I will absolutely never recommend this place to anyone I know in town and I will be telling my friends who have rented this place before to book another place in the future.

Do not recommend. Terrible communication and owner Brittany does not follow through with what she says she’ll do. ??

****PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE****This venue is no longer ran by Marty. Brittany and her boyfriend tried to scam us out of thousands of dollars 4 days before our wedding. I had been begging for an invoice and she kept insisting that she would get it to me and never did. She finally sent it 4 days before the wedding, and to my surprise, it was almost double what I was expecting to pay. She then refused to speak to me on the phone and instead had her boyfriend talk to us where he was incredibly disrespectful and insistent on the pricing, which was not consistent with the pricing on there website via google. Brittany communicated with me via text to meet at the venue to sort things out. When we arrived, Brittany was not there, only her bf. She refused to speak to us. After insisting on an itemized invoice for pricing, her boyfriend refused, told us they were no longer throwing our wedding, and to leave or he would call the cops. They also kept the $1,500 deposit. It was one of the most stressful weeks of my life. We had to find a venue that catered 100 people in 4 days. Luckily, we went next door to the Brewery at Union Station who offered to throw the wedding the next day. I never want any bride to feel the way I did the week of there wedding. I can't even believe these people claim to run a professional business. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

Nice space, weird management with weird rules.

STAY AWAY. Run schemes to try and up charge brides 3 days before the wedding in order to make thousands more knowing they have no option being close to wedding day. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Do not waste a dime here. I am a wedding professional and I was a part of helping my sister-in- law plan her wedding. In my 9 years of being in the industry I have never experience such unprofessionalism from Brittney, she is the event planner here who is very unresponsive, unreliable, and when a problem arises she has her boyfriend step in to handle things instead. The issue we had to deal with was Brittney deciding FOUR days before the wedding that meals were now $40 per person instead of the agreed upon price. Mind you they have pricing on their website and it is NOT that.So they we're trying to pull a fast one. When my sister-in-law went to meet Brittney, instead of her showing up herself, they were greeted with her boyfriend he was rude and decided instead of righting their wrong, he chose to state that they were no longer going to host the wedding and told them that they would also not be refunding her. This is not the first time this has occurred here either.

Went here for my brother's 50th wedding anniversary party. Beautiful place.

I usually never leave reviews like this, but with the stress we had with The Concourse at Union Station, I feel that I should share the experience we had with this venue.
My sister had her wedding at this venue this summer and it was difficult to work with. There was lack of communication with the manager on her part. When we reached out she either never responded or took months to respond. The day before the wedding she overcharged the overall cost of the venue by almost $1000, but fixed it once we noticed the up-charge per plate she added.
The manager showed up 1 hour late to set up the venue the day before. The day of the wedding she said she would be at the venue at 2pm (wedding was at 5pm) and she never showed up the whole evening. The rest of the staff was kind and helpful, even though they did not know any of the details or preparation for the day.
My family set up and tore down the entire venue with little to no help. Sadly, a lot more instances occurred where help was not given and areas of the venue were not taken care of because lack of communication with the staff members.

Proceed with caution if you want to use this venue.
