Been coming here since I was a small kid. Don't get to come here often as we don't live in Erie any longer. I don't know when they started toasting the bottom of the hotdog bun but I must say I'm not a fan of this, It does not make it a fancy Greek dog. I guess if I go back I'll have to tell them NOT to do it to mine. For those that don't know Greek sauce is a hamburger sauce with spices similar to taco hamburger but different.
I ordered three hamburgers with fries. Plenty of fries. The buns for the hamburgers were horrible they were very dry. I don't know if they have switch buns recently. I have been a customer for over 50 years. I almost had to eat the patties and the Greek sauce without the buns. Disappointed.
Walking into the new Coney Island in Erie, as soon as the smell of their famous chili hit my nose, it brought me back to my childhood when dad would take us there for a weekend treat. I ordered my usual. Two dogs with cheddar, chili and onions with a cheddar chili fry. Came out perfect. Daughter ordered a chocolate shake. After a taste, it was exactly like the Neshannock location. We are glad you’re in town. Good luck and keep slingin the chili!
