Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Fast service, polite waitress, great food. Love the Rewards program.

We stopped for a late breakfast during the Sunday rush, but we were seated without a wait. The manager, Rick, was very personable and promised our 9 year old daughter a dessert on the house. He told us to make sure our server knew it came straight from him. We told our server, but she gave us a sarcastic reply that “oh, really? Tell him I want one myself”. We were a little put off, but ordered three adult meals since our daughter claimed to be extra hungry. After we ordered, Rick stopped back by the table and checked to make sure we had told the server about our free dessert. We assured him we had. The food came and it was delicious. The server dropped our check and ran. Never came back. And we didn’t get the dessert. Our daughter was definitely disappointed. So thumbs up for Rick, but thumbs down to our server for being a party pooper.

I know that it was very busy but waitress was very unorganized. Salads came just as dinner was served,the biscuits and bread after dinner never asked about dessert and all dinners on one slip. Wife’s chicken was served under cooked ,very unsafe part of was still raw.

So a little disappointed with this Cracker Barrel. We picked the pot roast and thought it would come out shredded like the picture but it was big chunks and the carrots weren’t cooked. I also ordered a cup of chicken and dumpling soup and the cup came out half full, mostly broth and wasn’t even hot.

My wife drags me here all the time because she can’t cook and they have good food. Sometimes you get a good server, sometimes you get someone who doesn’t want to work there. If you’re feeling old, to feel young visit Cracker Barrel. You may be the youngest people there. Can’t think of what to buy your grandmother for a gift? Check out their gift shop. It’s crowded with people without a lot of extra space to look around, but there are a lot of things that old people like.

Please go back to the old recipe for the greens and the beans. I couldn’t even chew the greens and my beans were hard. Something has changed and I don’t like it. This use to be my favorite restaurant. Please fix this. I love Carcker Barrel ❤️

The people & service are fantastic! The food was Great & served in a timely manner. And I loved the working fireplace, made it feel inviting & relaxing! Wonderful place all around ;-)

Our waitress was sick and had very little voice. Kind of scary when everybody is catching everything but I understand you have to work. That aside she was excellent. However our food was horrible! I had ordered the country fried steak with hash brown casserole. The country fried steak was literally spoiled or rotten. I thought it was me at first I took a little piece and gave it to my husband and he said the same thing. I told the waitress and she took it back and offered me something else off the menu to which I said no thank you. I had eaten the casserole because she hadn't come back while I was eating so I just ate that. My husband had the fried pork chops and he said they were like rubber and had very little flavor. Later after eating his pork chops while we were sitting there his stomach started to go nuts. He ended up sick all night. I'm pretty sure the meats have been thawed and then refrozen. My steak actually smelled spoiled. They still had the nerve to charge me for two sides that came with my plate. They charged me $7.73 for two glasses of water and hash brown casserole. I'm sorry but you bring out spoiled meat and then you expect me to pay for anything on that plate? That really angered me. The manager never came out to apologize or see if he could make it right. We will not be returning here!
