We went there last night for dinner. Food and service were outstanding. We were greeted promptly and seated. Our server brought us chips and salsa and took our drink orders in a timely manor. He then took our food order after bringing our drinks. Our food was brought out in a timely fashion, hot and fresh. Food was excellent.

While traveling to Erie we always stopped in and ate here, this last visit was our last one. Out food was different and we started with chips being so hard to bite. Chicken was rubbery and honestly so plain I barely tasted any seasoning. Won't be coming back . Not sure what happened to this place. But its not the same.

Outstanding place to stop. Came in close to closing and they served us with aplomb. Excellent food (shrimp tacos & carnitas platter) and service with a smile. Could not recommend any higher.

The meat had no flavor. Drinks were not good at all. For what I paid for two people to eat I'm actually really annoyed that i wasted my money on a horrible meal. This place used to be good. Definitely won't be going back.
I love this place but after my visit today I don't think I'll be back. The food I got was terrible. No one checked in with me to see how it was, no one asked why I didn't eat any of it. Chile relleno was not a Chile relleno and had no cheese in it. Ground beef tasted like they hadn't even thought about seasoning it. Long time customer but I won't be back because I had to pay for this pile of garbage. Bartender was awesome and made a great scratch margarita, only person that seemed to care.

I had such an amazing experience at El Caneo Mexican Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, authentic, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was just as impressive. The waitresses and servers were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. You can tell they take pride in making sure guests feel right at home. I’m super grateful I decided to try this place. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon. If you're looking for real, quality Mexican food and a great atmosphere, this is the spot!
