I went on a Saturday morning with my partner to have a widespread rash looked at that hadn't responded much to a steroid prescribed by Urgent Care. We arrived around 8:30 am and were discharged with a treatment plan and prescription before noon. I was seen by Dr. Sabotchik and Dr. Ticho, both were great. They never made me feel silly for asking questions about what might be going on with my condition, and gave me peace of mind. I was worried we'd have a horrible experience based on the Google reviews, but everyone was kind, my room was clean, and they were much quicker than expected without sacrificing my care.
I arrived at the Hamot ER at 6:30a and treatment began almost immediately! The doctors and nurses in the ER were fantastic. Very attentive to my needs and very thorough ensuring all the right tests were ran and a proper diagnosis was determined. Thank you!

Even if the waiting room is almost empty they will make people wait 4+ is ridiculous
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT STAFF THAT CARES. Had to get wheeled in because my body became completely paralyzed. When I first came in nurses not not seem to care at all and they wheeled me into the bathroom and shut the door to get a pee sample but I guess they forgot that I literally couldn’t move my arms or legs at the time so there was no way for me to get on the toilet or open the pee sample container. Pressed the help button and asked for help and I apologized for needing help because she genuinely looked annoyed. No one helped me out of the bathroom. Sat in the waiting area for an hour and felt like I was gonna pass out so I asked the front desk lady for water. She looked at me while munching on her pretzels and denied me water because she didn’t want me to throw up. I said that I really needed the water, and if I had to throw up I’ll just go to the bathroom, but she still denied me while being very rude. Waited in the waiting room for another hour and just ended up calling my friend to help me leave because clearly none of the staff (except the nice security that wheeled me in) actually cared about incoming patients or their needs. Absolutely NO sense of urgency in an EMERGENCY ROOM. Never caught the front desks lady’s name that was munching on pretzels and had glasses and lighter hair but it was whoever was working may 13 2025 at 9am.
Absolutely ridiculous. I waited 5 hours with a 4 month old to be seen for seizures. Around 2 hours into the wait a family with a boy who had a cough came in and was taken back before my infant who was actively having seizures in the waiting room. The nurses who took vitals were rude and snarky. I ended up leaving and going to saint vincent with ZERO wait time. They were so much nicer to her than the nurses who took her vitals ever were. AVOID AT ALL COST GO TO SAINT VINCENT
Went there yesterday I was there five hours then finally got a room took another two hours to get a G.I.. I was told by a gastrologist that there were three options. I like the second one better cause I didn’t think surgery was needed. They didn’t do any of them the parking lot are all closed so I had to move the cone just to park when I came out. I had to pay 15 bucks because I had to To pay that because of a lost ticket, I thought they should’ve did one of them I requested for one of them and they said they’re not gonna do it
Wouldn't go back there unless absolutely had to. Went there for arm pain, chest pain, and blurry eye vision. They had me waiting for over 6 hours to be called back to a room. The waiting room was full of people - some not even there to be seen but just sleeping. Some staff was nice -some complaining about having to do their jobs. Too long wait times and then when I finally got to a room they say it's PROBABLY stress and that my blood pressure was high. What is expected when you make someone with arm and chest pains wait for 6 hours to be seen? The worst time. Then on top of that I caught the flu there right after from being surrounded by people coughing and hacking all over the place.
I've been here since 2 am. It's now 7am and I'm still in the waiting room with a kidney stone. I won't come back it was a mistake.
I went in the hospital by an ambulance
I was in for 22 days, icu twice and I couldn't have asked for better nurses and staff. I was also in for 3 days in May and that was a good experience also.
Still presently waiting to be seen in E.R, yes they are busy . But waiting over 9 hours in a E.R waiting room is extremely ridiculous! Then when you finally get taken back you are put in a hallway bed where staff walk by but never check on any of the patients to see if they need anything or ask how they are incase a situation has changed or gotten worse. You finally get disgusted and walk to nurses station for a update and you get a snotty its gonna be a bit . We'll thanks that helps...

Literally the worst ER I have ever been to! The nurse had an attitude because I didn’t respond the first time she called out my name (was trying to process she called my name out because I was sitting for 3 hours) and I seen people groaning in pain, aimlessly walking around. Very uncomfortable place to be, I left without being seen
Waited 3 hours to be seen and about 7 hours total for the CT scans and a stitch. Nurse named Emma was rude and short with us. Didn’t seem like she had but a second to talk and answer questions. Ppl seemed to be waiting forever. Welcome to healthcare in America. Not surprised.
This Emergency Room staff did a great job for my dad. They were well prepared and hurried to take him back since he was experiencing stroke symptoms with a full team ready. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Turned out he wasn't having a stroke (so thankful) but he was having Bells Palsey from Lyme Disease. With how professional and fast the staff was at handling that possible stroke, I know this is the best hospital in the area for an emergency like that.
Getting all this money from people's insurance and can't even fix/replace the floor boards in the rooms! Where is all the money going towards? Smh
Came in with my mom as she was having shortness of breath and high blood pressure. The intern doctor was not listening to our concerns at all and kept telling her that these are symptoms that can happen as people age and repeatedly referred her to her PCP. We kept repeating that this is not normal, it happened quickly and we were concerned. He kept talking in circles. The overseeing doctor came in and, while having better bedside manner, also was not listening that we were concerned this was an abrupt change and not something that happened gradually over time. We were asking for more care and the intern said that if he admitted her based on her labs he'd "get in trouble." Way to listen and care for your patients!
