Stopped in for the bakery. Our server was excellent. He showed us all of the options. Very pleased. It's definitely a go-to for baked goods in the area.

The go to Bakery for any occasion.

They have always been great, and the cakes taste amazing! No matter what, they do everything they can for customers. I appreciate their hard work on the cakes I've ordered.

Higher prices than Wegmans and WalMart, long lines and ridiculously slow checkers.

Very good very helpful it is very clean i like the open space makes it easy to get around the store some stores could learn from them

This place is a joke. The lines are ridiculous. The cashier looked at every item she scanned, as slowly as she could, checked her screen, then looked for a bag to put items in. Customers put their items on the belt in the way they want it packed. Scan and go!

Giant Eagle is similar to what Payless/Kroger is in the Midwest, and what Safeway is to the West Coast -- a grocery chain that is in most respects more expensive than the big warehouse retailers like Walmart or Meijer, but which manage to stay afloat by offering a wider, more sophisticated selection of foods. There are some differences, however, that make shopping at Giant Eagle, and particularly this Giant Eagle, much less pleasant than a Kroger's. Most of the time I have been in here, the clerks have been unfriendly or flat out rude. Some of that is just cultural difference between the East Coast and the Midwest, but the usual terrible working conditions of a retail worker makes that attitude even worse, I imagine. Even in these smaller grocers, though, they have been adopting the self-checkout technology/lanes, so you would think, at the very least, you can avoid these awkward and rude interactions by using those instead. Not so fast, my friend! Unlike in other stores of this calibre, Giant Eagle requires that you be a member of their reward program to use these self-checkouts, which would be an unexpected pain for someone coming in from out of state and who did not know that bizarr-o restriction. Just a warning to newcomers... Ah, but not so fast again! Even if you get this card/membership, you might still wind up dealing with their rude people -- for some strange reason, they evidently will put a clerk at these self-checkout lanes to get in your bloody way and be a nuisance, operating a machine that was designed for you to operate while being rude and condescending to you while they are about it. That just blew my mind -- the closest thing to a sane explanation I could come up with to account for that was, it being a very busy time for the store, they needed to "hack" their own backwards system by having a clerk by-pass the membership requirement if necessary and move customers through faster. Begs the question of why they have that inane requirement to begin with, but that I suppose is a problem with inept and disconnected company management making dumb decisions, as they do. The rude people that you would rather avoid, though, is entirely on this location.

Friendly folks. One young man asked if I needed help, the proceeded help with my shopping then helped me to my car

Everything is wonderful, fresh and a lot to choose from

Nice store with a large variety of items. However, they never open up many checkout lines and the lines are long. It takes forever to check out!
A very nice Giant Eagle Store, the staff is really friendly and it has a nice big cafe area for your convince. It's a pretty nice decent size location as well.

Everything we have ever gotten at the bakery has been excellent

Customer service is absolutely horrible. I waited in line for 25 minutes . No cashiers. Then my cake looked like someone cut into the birthday cake I bought.
