I had the worst experience with Chinese takeout. Happy Garden, located on State Street, served lo mein that tasted like someone smoked a pack of cigarettes and blew the smoke into the noodles. The food was cold, and I called them to see if I could get some kind of reimbursement. The guy basically said 'no refund' and told me that their lo mein tastes good and taste like lo mein. And didn't how you gonna tell the person who bought it how the food taste. doesn't even look like the lo mein that Imperial or S and S buffets have . And I checked the reviews on Google and they have multiple one-star reviews saying their food is not good. Food got them sick and they serve old food. They have terrible customer service, terrible food, and workers with terrible attitudes. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Use to order from here all the time and the food was excellent. Must of changed ownership because the food really sucked. Chicken was overcooked and next to burnt. Wish I could take a picture to post with this.

My Partner and I love this place! Very speedy delivery and their food is very flavorful. I love the chicken teriyaki on a stick, and my partner always orders their General Tso chicken and pork fried rice. Our favorite part of the meal is always cracking open our fortune cookies.

My babysitter ordered Spring rolls without shrimp because of my son’s allergy . They delivered Shrimp Lomein and Shrimp Spring rolls and caused my son to go to the hospital because he had an allergic reaction! Than when I went to the place and talk to the owner he walked away from me and went to the bath and kept cooking . Very poor customer service !! They will be hearing from my lawyer .

The cashier/server was an older white guy in need of a bath and attitude adjustment. Food is very good. The inside could use a makeover. It's like stepping back to 1971.

Never eating here again! The food was beyond disgusting! It gave me the runs so bad, 6 trips to the toilet! The Kung Pao chicken wasn’t fresh, the peanuts were burnt, the egg roll was old, the pork fried rice had way too much soy sauce and tasted yucky! I filed a complaint with the Health Dpt. This place needs to be shutdown immediately!!!! I do not recommend Happy Garden to anyone.
