We wanted some seafood on our visit to Erie, and found that Hooks Catfish Kitchen was highly rated. It did not let down!! The fish was excellent, and we enjoyed the take-out Fish 'n Chips vibe too. Counter service with a couple tables available too.

(3/20/25 around 1:30) Finally got to try this place. Was very pleased all around. Got an assortment of the fish and was delicious. Will be glad to return. Service was pleasant, place was nice and clean, fish was great.
Maybe coincidence but this is the fourth time I've made the trip to downtown and each time the place is closed Would love to try it but haven't been able to. Always has been during posted open hours. Right now Monday afternoon 3/3/25 @ 2:15.

AH-MAZ-ING! I don’t get downtown much living in Wattsburg but decided to stop by Tonight for a Tilapia dinner. Fast and friendly service and the fish is out of this world. Fired to perfection with the best breading I’ve had. Love it! Would definitely recommend!!!

The fish was delicious and the portions are massive. I ordered a 2 piece catfish meal and it fed both me and my boyfriend. I was born and raised in MS and the catfish reminded me of what I grew up eating. I will be coming here again.

This little hidden gem called catfish kitchen is amazing. My wife had the catfish and I had the tilapia .. my tilapia was deliciously seasoned tender & full of flavor . The catfish was also seasoned to perfection. We had 2 sides and was pleasantly surprised !! Will definitely be back ! The service was excellent the young lady made sure she answered my questions ( was our first time there) and we took her advice as far as the menu’s choices! Glad we did ! If you’re looking for a homemade fish style , HOOKS CATFISH KITCHEN is your to go eatery!!

My fish was fried very very hard to a point there was no meat to chew on. I’ve purchased food from here many times and a couple times I wasn’t satisfied but I wanted to give it another try because the flavor is good and I wanted to support but that will be my last time ordering from here.

Highly recommended! The catfish nuggets were yummy and the walleye was delicious. There was a bit of a wait, but worth it. Inside dining is limited to just a couple tables but since it was a beautiful day we were able to eat at the park right across the street.
