Good service and the food was pretty good. I’m used to a different Mad Mex that does a much better char on the chicken and peppers. Still worth it but it could have been made even better.

the food was absolute trash. my rice was undercooked, the chicken didn’t even taste like chicken, and the boneless wings were out of a freezer bag. the chicken enchiladas were wayy to spicy and watery. we will never return.

Loved the food. Loved the drinks. Loved the service. Outdoor seating was so nice on a mild summer day.
Good all the way around!

A great place to grab a meal and a drink with food that is flavorful and abundant. The staff is always friendly and efficient.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch while in Erie. We were welcomed in and seated immediately by Alex. I ordered the Big Burrito, and my wife had the Chicken Chimichunga. We also had chips and salsa. The food, the service, and the price were great. I highly recommend the Mad Mex. They were outstanding for us. There were no leftovers.

Worst service ever , there’s 4-5 tables here throughout the entire restaurant and it has taken 30 minutes for us to see our waiter and then everytime we needed something it took another 15-20 minutes to receive it and then they would send a young man out and he would forget half of what we asked for and then we waited another 10 minutes to tell a different lady what we needed. WORST SERVICE IVE EVER HAD , also menus have food on them , should’ve known not to eat here then. DO NOT GO HERE.
Waited 45 mins after ordering for food to even arrive and then it was terrible. Service was spotty and lots of things forgotten.

So this was my second time coming here with my boyfriend. My first time here I quite enjoyed the food. The music was a little bit loud, that was my main concern. But now that it’s been my second time I’m really disappointed and I won’t be returning. First my boyfriend who is vegan, order a tofu dish only for them to bring it out with chicken in it. I hated that he had to go through accidentally eating that. Plus my rice was undercooked, fairly sure I hurt a filling on it. I can get food that’s way better elsewhere and at comparable prices. For it’s just not worth it to put up with the loud music as well. The staff was friendly enough, they replaced my boyfriend’s dish but for a place that would boast vegan options, I was not impressed. Again, I’m not returning ever, and I do not recommend.

Gluten and soy-free diner here. My family and I dined here on Monday after the tornado warning expired. We were not disappointed. A big thank you to our server Meadow, who noticed that I did not receive my corn tortilla with my California Grilled Salad. I asked her to substitute the regular Monterey Jack cheese and salad dressing with Cojita cheese and a side of guacamole. It is nice to know that in spite of how busy she was, she remembered that I also asked to substitute the normal flour tortilla with a corn tortilla. Thank you once again, Meadow!

I stopped in alone for a few margaritas and some queso. GM Courtney made the best margaritas I’ve had in a long time and made my visit most enjoyable. I’ve been telling everyone how awesome Mad Mex is.

I’ve tried many Mexican restaurants, even lived in New Mexico. One of the best Mexican restaurants in the USA is El Pinto in Albuquerque NM. Ask President Obama and many celebrities!! I must admit the food compares to El Pinto. Everything is perfect and on-point here!! Strongly recommend this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed. I absolutely love that they are gluten-free friendly and also dairy free friendly as well!

Atmosphere and service are 5, the food that we had - chicken enchiladas - was okay. For someone who lived in San Antonio for 19 years, the bar is high.
