The donuts are worth the drive! I have a donut issue....I find a donut place in every town I visit. All over the country.
Hands down, these are some of THE BEST cake donuts I've ever eaten. I think they call them fry donuts here. No, you aren't going to get crazy, inventive flavors. But if you want the best peanut cake donut (outside of Buffalo where that's a local specialty) anywhere around, this is your place. Muah! (chef's kiss!)

These donuts have gone through at gradual systemic change over the past 20 years. I used to love eating these donuts as the taste was delicious. But now it seems like I'm eating a ball of dough and a gallon of sugar in each bite. I mean d_mn. Their products are so darn sweet that I can't even enjoy eating them anymore.
I don't know what they are doing but this donut shop is contributing greatly to the obesity and the diabetes of probably half of the Erie...
