Our family drove 5 hours to see a WWE event and stayed at the Hampton . We we're new to the area and pleased to find that the hotel had a restaurant. The 3 of us went up to ask for a table at 4:30 pm to have a quick lite dinner before the Event. The hostess asked if we wanted a high top or table , we said no preference , she grabbed menus and was about to seat us when another young girl came up and said " oh wait we have no tables " you need a reservation and we have nothing until 8:30 . Dosnt give us any other option such as a apot at the bar , take out or other places to go . The place was almost empty . Was extremely disappointed in the customer service . We attend many events including for work and will remember this one and the restaurant in a very negative way . I truly hope the Managment addresses the young staff and restrains on how to better handle a situation such as this .

I have been coming to Oliver's for a few years now. It's just about some of the best food in Erie with some of the best views of the bay! This place gets slammed on holidays and during special events, so reservations are recommended. The service here is generally pretty good. We have always had knowledgeable wait staff and friendly bartenders. Their drink sizes and flavors have certainly changed over the last year. Right now they want you to pay $17 for a blackberry margarita that is NOT fresh whatsoever. It is a mix and the flavor is just not there. The regular margarita is the same flavor, only for $9. This needs to change, pronto. Please add more options with mezcal and Prosecco. You should be on par with other fine dining restaurants around the country! The food is always excellent. I have had the pork chop, steak and souvlaki salad on my most recent visits. The waffle dessert is a sure fire favorite and my husband never lets me share his :) A great ending to a fine meal. We'll always return to Oliver's, but would love to see some new menu items and also a tweak of the drink menu.

We went there early on Sunday the day before the eclipse as it was the only reservation they had. The view was fantastic, lots of windows and everyone has a great view there. Service was friendly and attentive! Drinks were colorful and delicious. Although my filet was overcooked in spots it was fantastic, especially with the blue cheese topping! The Asparagus was the best I have ever had in my life. Delicious, hot, cooked perfectly, flavorful!! I highly recommend!

I've been wanting to go for a long time so I went for my birthday and it was THE BEST! The food was awesome! I had the surf and turf and it was so tender and tasty! My waiter John was so sweet and attentive. All of the staff treated me like I was the only person there even though it was packed! I had a great view of the bay. They gave me a card that every staff member had signed and made me feel super special. Oliver's will be my new birthday tradition! Can't recommend it highly enough!

After we had left the restaurant, I just happened to be balancing my checking account, and noticed that they had charged me the tip amount not only on the bill, but also charged it separately!! When I called the restaurant when they opened the following day I was told "Oh don't worry about that, it's not a real charge, it will be gone in a day or two, our system has some kind of glitch in it and does that..." Really? Whatever. The food was great, the service was great also, not going to stop us from going there, just annoying that they would say that so unconcerned.
The atmosphere and ambience was amazing and the view wonderful. In Erie Pennsylvania for a work trip and had to check out the local restaurant of choice. While the manahattan was made to perfection the lobster pasta left a lot to be desired Kelsey my waiter was phenomenal and provided great service however the pasta needed truffle oil and a little salt and pepper to bring out its flavor. The service was amazing and the staff is friendly I would come back if in town again the Walleye fish was great

The ambience of the restaurant was lovely and we were seated at a fabulous corner table with views of Lake Erie from 2 vantage points. However, the service was giving off "Denny's vibes". Our server threw a bunch of paper beverage napkins on the table and said something to the effect of "Here ya go!" While not otherwise rude, she was quite loud. We did not like being shown the specials on the "laptop-like device". It is just not something I'd expect to see at a "fine dining" restaurant. She brought out the salads just moments after the appetizer. We definitely felt she was trying to rush us out. At the end of the night, there were 2 errors on the bill. The food was good. Although we did not care for the salads, the appetizers were great and I enjoyed my salmon entree. I am aware how difficult it is to find great help so I will not let the service we received on this visit stop us from giving this place a second try.
