Tourist trap. The piratey exterior looked exciting for our family. The food was underwhelming. Crab soup lacked any advertised "chunks" and was very salty. The crabcakes were fishy. French fries aren't anything great... certainly not worth an upcharge for your side dish. Interior felt old/ dingy. They survive due to location.

Excellent seafood. We were here from out of town for our daughter's conference. We loved it so much we ate here both nights. The perch is excellent and filling. The snapper was a little on the well done side, but still had great flavor. Our waitresses were attentive and kind. There's inside and outside seating and it's family friendly. We would definitely come back for more. Enjoy!!!

Such a cute restaurant by the water! Had the BEST French onion soup, definitely a must try!!

Great place if you like seafood -- THANK YOU for providing EARTH FRIENDLY STRAWS! I am a customer who will now be back again because of the ECO-FRIENDLY straws. :-)

I am in town on business and thought I would give this restaurant a try. The view of Lake Erie is pretty from the outside patio. The problem is, the patio is quite overgrown and I felt like spiders or bugs would drop on me from the overhanging vegetation. I was originally seated next to a tree, and the vines had grown into the patio area. I imagine that the overhang helps to shade the patio in the summer, so I can see a benefit. I just wish the overhang were more of a "tent" or canopy, vs vines, branches, and leaves. I ordered a salad, crab/artichoke app, and the fish of the day which was parrot fish. The salad was crisp and the tomato tasted vine ripened. The appetizer was cheesy and there were chunks of artichoke. The bread was really fresh. The appetizer was the saving grace of the meal, because the baked parrot fish was unfortunately not tasty. It tasted like air. Sadly, no flavor at all. I ate a few bites and gave up. Perhaps parrot fish would taste better if prepared differently? This brings me to an interesting question. Why was the "catch of the day" not locally caught anyway? Other than mussels, I can't think of any local lake caught item on the menu. If you are looking for a restaurant with a view, then this one is worth a try. You can sit inside and have a nice view of the sunset on the water. And no spiders inside, so that's good. They did have prime rib on the menu, so maybe their steaks are the way to go here. The servers and hostess were attentive and friendly.

Loved sitting outside with all the ivy and the breeze off the lake. Good food and service. I would highly recommend.

Although the restaurant looks very cozy, the food is a complete disaster. We ordered a portion of prime rib and it was pretty dry and cold when it arrived. Fries that went with the dish were somewhat salty. An order if pike that we ordered was ok.

Service was very slow. Waited 45 minutes for a table. 15 minutes for our waitress to come and greet us. Another 45 minutes for our bland food. And another 45 minutes to get our check. Total I'd say it was probably over 3 hours we were there. Food was way overpriced for the quality you get. Drinks were served in tiny flimsy plastic cups.

The food was very good but the service was not. We had the naked walleye and the perch sandwich. Both awesome. But the waitress was very slow and forgot a lot. But I would still go back!!

Honestly the best part of this experience was the view. Literally had a burnt piece of pan in my bowl of "award winning" clam chowder so I refused to pay for that chunky burnt excuse for a meal. I was already waiting at my table for 10 min before getting a water then ironically the waitress was seemingly impatient and got irritated with me for complaining while still taking her time to cash us out so I left no tip. Maybe it was just my luck since I spilled hot butter all over my legs, but the only reason I see myself coming back to this place is literally in passing to see the water or to buy a drink if there is no other place that will serve me for whatever reason.

My husband and I stopped her for dinner during a day trip to Erie. It was our second visit. We sat outside on both occasions . I love the outdoor seating area. There is a pergola covered with flowering vines and hanging baskets. It was an 85 degree day but it was very comfortable outside. We started with a baked crab and artichoke appetizer. We both enjoyed it. It had plenty of crab meat and artichoke hearts with a Swiss cheese topping. I had the stuffed flounder and green beans. It was good but nothing special. My husband had the crab cakes and roasted potatoes. They were not remarkable just your average crab cakes. We shared the frozen peanut butter pie for dessert and it was amazing! The service was great. On our last visit I had the fish of the day grilled with olive oil and fresh herbs and that was really good! It was perfectly grilled. My husband had a blackened fish on that trip and he enjoyed it as well. We will definitely return again.

It's ok. It's not exactly on the water (a drive and picnic tables separates the restaurant from the bay), and the portion of the lobster roll sandwich was small, and it was about $16. My iced tea was in a small plastic cup, and the server did not give me very much attention. I didn't stay long. The live music drifting over from Sheraton grill across the parking lot was nice.

I am from New England and tried their "surf and turf" special. 1000% fail. Steak was ok, but the lobster was completely straight from the freezer and all I could taste was freezer burn. I asked the waitress and she says "it's fresh but was never live" which being from New England means to me it's not fresh. The Gouda bites were super good and I wish that was all I ate and paid for. My wife ordered key lime pie and it was so frozen that she couldn't cut it. We voiced our opinions many times but our relatively inexperienced waitress had deaf ears. The view is amazing but the food lacks warrant for the price of the view.

2 stars are for the waitress....and that's the only thing positive I can mention about this place. Portions were small and the prices were through the roof!!!! In addition, the food was garbage. Not just regular garbage, but the kind that's been sitting in the trash can on a super hot day and the smell makes you rethink your very existence..... Do yourself a favor and just stay away. I wish I would have read the reviews of this place before I went there. The positive ones have to be the owners family. The negative ones are a lot closer to how below average this place actually is.

My family stopped here this past Sunday. We arrived around 8 PM very hungry and tired from our trip. The waitress that we had was very pleasant and even took time to look into dietary needs for my sister. I ordered a shrimp cocktail and the Chicken sandwich. It was very flavorable and the side of potato salad was delicious. Due to it being near closing time it seemed like they were trying to get us to leave when we finished but we asked to see the dessert menu. The waitress had no problem bringing it over to us. My sister ordered the peanut butter pie and my niece who was 5 wanted icecream but they told us they did not have any. But within a couple minutes a gentleman that worked in the kitchen came out and gave my niece a Klondike bar! We were shocked that the restaurant was that nice in making my nieces day. I wish that we lived closer because this restaurant find was so nice. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal.
